Wiseman stinks. The fact that he couldn’t understand a limited role on a winning team tells someone plenty. He had plenty of potential coming into the league but that’s no longer applicable definitely no thanks.
Rockets fans going into free agency: we bringing Harden back! Rockets fans a week after: Harden gone. We should sign Wiseman! Rockets fans a month after: wiseman lol'ed at us. So glad we converted WCS from a 2 way into a minimum contract. Thanks Fertits! Rinse and repeat next year if Sil@ss ain't fired tonight.
He's Weaver's new project (Troy is irrationally high on him than most people, including some Pistons fans). Weaver gave up Bey to get Wiseman. They also let Noel go since they were log jammed at the Center spot. I don't think Troy will give Wiseman away anytime soon. Some people think Troy is maybe overpaying (in investment cost), so if teams want to pry Wiseman away, you have to overpay on Weaver's already over-valuing of Wiseman. On a squad like the Pistons, he could be serviceable, it's his upside that people disagree on. p.s. With the number of centers they have; it seemed that Troy was wanting to go with the Cav's pivot year formula of double big front court; although their coach doesn't always play them that way.
Everyone is in for a rude awakening when after we sign vets we still suck. Not as bad, but still suck . Like, barely make the playin, vets only work when you have a star, we don't have a star, if it was as easy as just "signing vets" to win in this league ,every team would be doing it, man yall are going to be so upset next yr when the vet strategy fails
Wiseman has a ton of potential but needs a Bolbol like awakening to tap into that potential. In terms of talent he is pretty close to Embiid problem is he doesnt have Embiid's work ethic and also has his injury risk. There's no point in taking a stab at him as Detroit wont let him go unless you overpay.
