I really hope the Rockets give him a chance tonight. Even if he's not what he is hyped up to be, I still want to see what he can do. I mean, as of now its a blowout anyway, I don't think it will hurt us.
I still think its worth giving him a chance, even if its only for a few minutes, in a blowout (like tonight). I mean, you say hes another Gerald Green, but we'll never know if he doesnt play. I'm personally not expecting him to be a key part of the team or anything, I'm just very intrigued, and want to see him play a few minutes. Who knows, maybe he could become a key part of the team.
Because he has played well overseas, in High School (he was a McDonald's All-American), college, in the NBA Developmental League, and even during Spurs practices but is never given a chance to play in actual games. And the list of players who were actually given a chance after years of being screwed with, Mario Elie, Avery Johnson, John Starks, etc., tells us that you should at least give someone a chance.
Is Adelman against putting in James White? You'd think he would at least want to get some sort of look at James.
The guy was brought in to fill Luther Head's spot on the pine. No more, No less. Thats usually what 10 day contracts mean.
well i dont think he means morey had no interest and just picked him up to block another team....we probably just picked him up earlier than planned, even if we didnt plan on giving himminutes yet, so another team wouldn't pick him up. i dont think it's a big deal, we can always sign him to another 10 day. also remember the rockets have had a packed schedule and aren't really practicing much other than walking through plays and watching tape, so white probably hasnt even ran with the team, or not enough to know plays, he's just be out on the court using his own moves, and those moves the rockets already know about, they want to know how he does within their system, so it wouldnt make sense to them to put him in unless he had gone over plays.
All James White can do is jump. He needs a lot of work in other aspects of his game to get any significant minutes, if any, in the NBA.
LMAO! Seriously, anyone know what the deal is with White? What are the Rockets planning on doing with him?
What is he hyped up to be? Last I checked he was given a 10 day contract from the D league. I don't think he has any hype outside of Youtube. I heard they are going to give him a week or two of practices before they think about putting him in the game.
