If he has any type of outside shot, and average handles...he could be a decent player in the NBA.

We signed him to a 10-day so we should see him soon enough.

Yeah but you're a Doctor.... of Dunk even. We don't have that kind of training.

I hope he's athletic, we need some athleticism on this team...

Doesn't matter, the Rockets never really liked athletic players since the whole Posey and Eddie Griffin failure so he will be cut.

    This makes me sad.

Don't just put a female on the air because she's pretty please. Intelligence should be required.

This doesn't make sense, why would they sign him to a 10 day contract if they don't intend to use him? Only way this would make sense is if by doing this they avoided some kind of tax or financial penalty.

I've kept up with James White since i first saw him in high school (yes the dunks intrigued me)... i don't know how far he's progressed since i last saw him play with san antonio but he's the type of player that hasn't been able to utilize his athletic ability in a game because he's always been pretty skinny. As someone who arguably has the best hops ever, i've never seen him dunk on anyone or throw in a follow up job in traffic.

And that's not what i expect from him in the NBA, but he needs to develop a kirilenko type (minus the flopping) defensive game in order to stay in the league. He should be able to disrupt players with his decent lateral quickness, length, and (hopefully one day) weakside shot blocking.

awww lol now I think she's cute... just needs to be a wee bit more prepared for an interview with questions other than... when did you dunk, how do you dunk, can you dunk like superman?

You guys do realize that all James White is known for is his dunking and ESPN shows TONS of dunking in NBA games.

I am actually surprised that people expected more from that interview....

Give her some time and she'll get better. She mostly been a commentator for soccer only. They have her doing more now.

She's still much better than Cynthia Cooper. Cooper was simply painful to watch...

Just found out today that White got signed to a 10-day with Houston. Good to hear. I've been following the kid since he was in high school. Had class with him my freshman year of college (when he was at UF) and got to see him play live multiple times that year. I always thought he could become a prototypical NBA 2-guard if he had a coach that could mold and develop him...but then he transferred to Cincy and never got the coaching he needed.
