He acts like it is an insult that the got invited only because they won the super bowl.

What an embarrassment to the organization.

Obama doesn't have time to chill with pro athletes whenever he feels like it, James.

Who cares?? The guy doesn't get paid to give good interviews and political opinions.... he's the scariest and most physical dominant linebacker in the league... Here's a guarantee... NONE of you would call him an idiot to his face...

Id actually have no problems telling him to his face...Ive been around Barry Bonds and told him my thoughts, around Doc Gooden, Juwan Howard, etc... None of them did crap other than maybe say something back. They walk away.

Yes, Harrison is bigger, but what the eff is he going to do? Id tell him right to his face that he's a moron.

You're so full of BS.. there's a difference between yelling to someone who is paying no attention to you at the moment from a crowd of people and telling something to someone who is engaged in conversation with you.

Let me re-phrase that for you: You would not walk right up to James Harrison on the street/in a bar/etc and call him an idiot

The examples I gave were not in-game situations...they were at places such as the galleria in Houston. They were all a result of them being an ass towards fans wanting autographs...and I had no problems telling them my thoughts, 2 feet away from their faces. James Harrison would be no different, I can promise you that. Yes, if he wanted, he could beat my a$$...I dont care, I wouldnt back down. Plus, he has more to lose than I do.

Not a big deal to me. It's his choice, nobody will lose any sleep over it.

I don't think anyone is questioning his choice to not attend. They are questioning the idiocy of his comment that the only reason they were invited was because they won the Super Bowl and had Arizona won, Obama would have invited the Cardinals. That goes without saying.

When you record one of the greatest plays in NFL history you reserve the right to do anything you want. Let the rest of the team go and get glorified in the White House's rehearsed "Alright, who won it this year? Let's get it over with" dance that they do every year yet it still warrants major headlines.

You think that's stupid? Wait till you hear Skip Bayless' take. It's almost like he felt offended that someone actually sounded dumber than him and had to do him one better.

Again.... I don't think anyone has a problem with the guy not wanting to go to the White House. More specifically, it’s his idiotic REASON that people have a problem with.

I mean, come on. The guy thinks it’s wrong that the Steelers are only being invited because they WON the Superbowl. Regardless of whether you would say it in his face or not… can you not see the stupidity of that logic??

It would be like if we as Rocket fans were upset that we didn't get to play the Nuggets in the next round, even though we lost the lakers series...

I disagree saying its OK he isn't going. When the leader of the Free World invites you to his house, you should go. How many people get that honor in their life?

Turning down a boring, rehearsed formality doesn't make you idiotic. Armchair psychology, on the other hand....
