    ??
most people say it's about cooking, but not a pot. There's no pot there. It's a flat hand.

But hasn't Harden said it's about putting his defender on an island by himself. Flat hand is the ocean, circling finger represents the island isolation. He only does it on Step Backs and various other shake n bakes. If it was cooking, it would be whenever he's on fire...3s, etc. No?

    From Sports Illustrated:
However, I think Amber Rose is mentioned in that song. Nice coincidence.

Considering how she bounces around, I wouldn't say there's much "coincidence" there.

It means "cooking" and it's been around for much longer than that song. Im not going to explain any further, you can research if you'd like. FYI, if you chose to do that things may get urban. Consider yourself warned.

Actually it has nothing to do with stirring of anything. Its "Hardens Island". When you got him one on one he gots you on his island.
He said this when asked a few games ago.

Yeah, that's BS. I heard that as well, and that explanation makes absolutely zero sense. Especially since it's been a thing for a few years now. Not that it even matters though.

only Harden can say where he got it from.

but Harden invented/made it popular? #impressed

you have to do it with your left hand twirling though to imitate it

Yep. This is what I thought too. It's Harden Island. Watch, he only does this after making a fool of someone in ISO. On threes and other stuff he does standard three signs or ROARs

Honestly it's pretty lame. Especially when he has to put his hand under it. Is he trying to emulate Bobby Flay or something?

Subject to your opinion but I don't think it's lame at all. He's creating another trademark (much like his beard) that the fans love and emulate. Why you mad bro

lol hes "cooking". hes stirring and has his other hand to mimic a dish or bowl. its a big hip hop slang right now. if you want to dig deeper, it derives from the term "cooking crack".
