LITERALLY their first game together and Joel + James combine for 61/18/15.

James is a basketball savant and it makes the OnlyHaters FURIOUS.

“Just my opinion but pairing a transcendental talent like that with Harden is a bad idea cuz Harden is only an average catch and shoot guy and he needs the ball in his hands to be effective. Ive never seen Harden move off the ball and I dont expect him to do so now he is 33 yrs old. You dont want Embiid being the roll man and doing lobs every possession either, thats just hell on his knees and a waste of his talent. Harden is great for redundancy in case Embiid goes down, but they're ****ed regardless when Embiid goes down anyway. I also dont like the rest of the roster and supporting cast they dont have consistent 3 pt shooters around Harden and Embiid.

I think pairing Embiid with a complementary player would have been better. For example sending Simmons to Sac for Haliburton, Barnes and Davis would've resulted in a better team in terms of both fit and long term contention.”

“In a vacuum yes pairing superstars with other superstars is better but it depends on which star is getting paired up with whom. Some stars like Lebron, KD, Steph Curry those guys can play with anybody. With Harden he clearly needs the ball to be effective and he is prone to blackhole/inefficient scoring bouts. In a situation where Embiid is better at doing what Harden is doing I dunno if they are gonna be the best fit. Lets see what happens.”

    analysis from roslolian…LOL

Has there ever been a superstar like JH before where they can just be inserted into a team and blow up game 1? It's literally insane. His 1st game here, 1st in Brooklyn and now Phili.

I hope Philly can get Harden a ring so we can collectively remember him as the all-time great he is.
