during medieval times, if a woman was fat she was considered good looking (fat = plenty of food = excess in wealth). fat people today are tailored to the 99 cent menu, while being skinny leads people to believe that one possess self control, good exercise habits, but most importantly have the means to eat healthy, which in today's world can be quite expensive.
