1st off: Lots of prayers going up from me for Odom. Dude was special when he was good. But more importantly, everyone in the NBA regarded him genuinely was 1 of the good guys. He would just show up secretly to children's hospitals away from media and encourage kids battling terminal illnesses. He lost his mom to cancer at 12. Lost his 6 month old to SIDS. (with my 2nd son being 1 month right now, this tears me up revisiting this piece of Odom history). And his dad was a heroin addict. There is no such thing as a heroin junkie good father, despite how hard his dad maybe wanted to be. It's just impossible. So that said, back to basketball & the Rockets. I can't help but worry how this is going to negatively affect Harden. His girlfriend, Khloe Kardashian, either has wet ink still on divorce papers or was still trying to hasten the divorce proceedings. Lamar was stalking & surprise confronting her. And Lamar was holed up at a Brothel, perhaps in the words of Peaches, trying to "f the pain away" from losing Khloe, or very possibly just the pain of being Lamar. Reports are now that Khloe is at his bed side and is "inconsolable" & "hysterical". And James Harden is meanwhile courtside at a Rockets preseason game. How does this affect his mentality through her mentality? Is there a complete shut off of intimacy? (It's a valid concern IMO with relation to how cleared up Beard is to be able to play) How do you focus on the game when your girlfriend is in a major grieving period...to the guy she is trying to divorce to be with you? Apologies if it's "too soon", and again, huge amount of prayers going up to Odom, his family, & everyone caught in the midst of this tragedy. But the NBA season is also too soon. I'm just really worried the Rockets & Beard by association might get sucked down into this horrible tragedy.
Nah, he just has to be there for her. You can't expect her to not have feelings for someone who she was married to in this state. It's gonna be what it is. It should not affect him too much. Regardless Odom in this state is hard for me, as it will be for the whole NBA.
