They haven’t even played 5 games yet and it’s already Harden and Kyrie aren’t gonna work. Lololol.

I think people had a general idea. Kyrie and Harden are heavy isolation players. It's the reason why Harden/Westbrook and Harden/Wall didn't work. All ball-dominant players. Either one has to be the main handler or it's going to mess up the offense. 2 heavy isolations players will never work.

Kyrie is way more selfish than Wall and Westbrook. He's always looking to score.... even when there are only 4 seconds left on the clock. He would rather shoot a contested shot than pass it to his teammates. Kyrie also tends to slow it down an awful lot. Harden used to that with us, but Harden didn't really have a choice because of his role players and whatnot. Kyrie doesn't have to do that anymore. He has 2 of the best scorers in the league next to him. He can easily pass it more, and he can easily play it more quickly. He also has Green and Harris next to him. They're 2 pretty decent spot-shooters. I just don't think Kyrie will agree to do what KD is doing. Let Harden run the point and play off the ball and spot-up. It's not the way Kyrie is.

I personally think the Nets should see how it goes. If it doesn't work this season, try to trade Kyrie out in the summer for better role players. All Harden needs is a good defensive big man and decent spot-up shooters around him. It isn't a coincidence why the Nets looked better offensively when Harden ran the point with KD. There doesn't seem to much chemistry when Kyrie is on the court with KD and Harden. I guess we'll see how it goes.

They needed KD to beat LeBron with help. The Cavs figured them out. Curry went and recruited big brother for a reason.

You're underestimating the NBA schedule and the Covid protocol.

Or maybe... just maybe hes ****ing fat? Its hard to have stamina with all that extra weight. And that weight isnt something badketball player benefits from. Dont give me post defender bullshit he cant guard anyone on the perimeter while being 6’5 and has no stamina to play balanced basketball. Last time he was in shape was second CP season

But Heat was playing conventional basketball. Brooklyn will stay isoing what you expect Harden or Kyrie to run offball? Durant is the only guy who knows how to play at the highest stakes on their roster

Kyrie is weird af. Harden has gotten fed up with every partner he's ever had.

As long as Durant is healthy, they should be favorites in the east, but if he gets hurt or they lose, it could get you fast.

My take when you increase a teams superstar status is what do those players do when they don’t have the ball or the offensive focus. Lots of guys can shine and up high volume stats with tons of usage but when the balls not in your hands can you make off ball screens, can you pick and pop, pick and roll, hockey assist, cut off ball to open up your teammate, slide to the corner to give the lane, can you pick up a ball handler and slide through the screen, can you play the passing lane, can you rotate without exposing your defense, can you box out, will you talk on D and not blow your assignment, can you offer weakside rim protection, will you up the deflections per game. Essentially can you do anything off the ball to improve your team since you have less focus on the usage side. IMO it’s why a lot of people don’t think Kyrie and Harden won’t mesh since they don’t really do a lot of those “other things” to win. Kyrie more so than Harden. It’s still early and maybe they show promise on all fronts but to truly unlock the team you have to be willing to do everything since it’s not just you + role players anymore.

But one interesting point is Hardens FT-rate. Since in BK he is shooting way less FTs.

As much as I want the Nets to do bad for the sake of our picks, it's only been how many games and harden and kyrie doesn't work? Lol its waaaay to early. I would give them the season to figure ish out. Too much talent between the three to give up on the experiment

The Only Time James Harden Realizes the Chemistry is bad is when the Nets Kyrie Irving and James Harden have disagreements.

We'll see but Chris Paul is more sane than Kyrie Irving. Since Kyrie mentally lives in Space.
