he played the basketball the garm wanted. he cut down on the iso's, he let wall handle the rock, and the rockets were garbage because of it. now he's playing his game, that the garm claims they hate sooooooooo much, now you wanted him to play that way?
You’ll see. Lots of media types are about to do a full 180 on Harden. I’ve seen it on Twitter already. He’ll still get some hate because they just created a super team, but he’ll get a lot more praise then he ever has.
If it wasn't obvious before tonight just proved that OKC traded the wrong guy 9 years ago. Not that I don't mind because it worked wonders for us for a time.
Where do you get 42 points by? He does make the second most money on their team so he should make a substantial difference. Kyrie is also not playing.
Harden coming out with a great offensive performance should hardly be a surprise for anyone. The Nets are going to be elite offensively with or without Irving. They are arguably the most talented team in the nba. Nets were 4th in ortg (bball ref 115.69) in the nba despite missing both Durant and irving for multiple games The questions will be defensive and how Harden and Irving mesh together stylistically and personality wise. Lastly before people blame Silas for not unleashing Harden or supposedly taking the ball out of his hands... Harden was third in the nba in time of possession with the ball at 7.4. Expect that number to drop in brooklyn and also expect him to perform well regardless, not because a coach isnt taking away the ball from him, but because he is elite at offense and most importantly WANTS to do so.
If you didn't consider the Nets a contender before, you have to think they are now. That being said, every time they called a timeout I kept looking at their bench. They still aren't as deep as the Rockets had been in their recent seasons with Harden. Although, KD is BY FAR the best teammate Harden has had...
Lol at people trying to base things off 1 game. That’s the logic that had people thinking Sacramento was a good team when we faced them.
When were the Rockets ever deep? 17-18? We still only had like an 8 man rotation. We consistently have 1 of the worst benches in the league. CP3 was able to prop bench units up, and Russ wasn’t able to last year.
I am not sure about Nash. He is cerebral for sure but it takes years to coach well too. Hope he doesn't make the mistake and run his stars into the ground.
Harden has Joe Harris and KD to pass the ball to now. These are the kinds of shooter we can only dream of having in the past to complement him.
Defense, center position, depth, and coaching are the question marks for this squad. Really curious to see how the rest of their season plays out.
Mother****ers loved losing basketball just because it's "fun" and "pretty". They actually preferred then Francis and Mobley years, for Christ's sake. It's Bizarro world logic just to spite one man.
