#1 Curry is a vastly better shooter than James Harden and he is vastly better coming off of picks, but that is about all he is better than Harden at. #2 Harden is a vastly superior playmaker, scorer, foul drawer and VASTLY better on defense. #3 Harden gets every bit as much attention of ball that Curry does. Harden can stand 30 feet from the basket with his hands on his knees and he is still guarded.
It seems that analysts are starting to figure out how midrange shots can be valuable in the modern NBA. Good news for pick-up game oldies like me who make our living on the midrange! Midrange players also seem to have a bigger variety of moves because they have so much space to work with, unlike 3 point snipers who always want to get back behind that 3 point line.
Saw on Twitter Trevor ariza is already working out with the Nets coaches ( with Amare stoudamire and probably just waiting on a buyout) So if they get Tucker it means the Nets are the reincarnation of the Rockets but on steroids
I mean....its not really, its only effective for guys who are actually good at the shot, you know what I mean. It only has value for a very small amount of players in the league like KD, Cp3, and ...Middleton,Embid too this year, that man is going off from the mid range.
He looked good in Portland. The Nets don’t need a prime Trevor, just someone who can defend for 15 to 20 minutes a night and hit the three ball occasionally.
championship would be secured if the Nets got Ariza and Tucker...McGee would also be a great addition
Really? Can you do that under contract with another team? Would be a good get for Brooklyn for sure. Plus it's one of Hardens guys
I would argue, as Goldberry implies in his video, that in certain situations, (eg clutch situations, playoff matchups) that the midrange becomes very valuable as a open shot that can be hit at 45% up when defenses are selling out to prevent shots at the rim or 3s. We’ve seen this time and time again with the rockets in the playoffs that they would go cold in key parts of the game because they were shut down at the rim and from 3.
Trevor will get a buyout. You can just call it an unofficial workout with a friend lol. So many loopholes
He also performs in the playoffs. Only the stupid narratives suggest otherwise. If you look at his stats, he's up there with most superstars, but he hasn't really had the talent around him to take it further. Also, he's had to contend against one of the best teams of all time on multiple occasions.
For clutch situations, going for the highest possible percentage shot is the correct answer. However, by in large if a team is forcing you to take mid range a whole series, you are going to lose unless you have an efficient mid range scorer. Kevin Durant can do what he wants because he is quite literally one of the mid best mid range players to ever live.
You're just making your case worse. If anything, it's proving that Green is a better playmaker than Curry.
Trevor looks in great shape. On a contender he would be motivated and can be a nice defensive piece for the nets
Amare low-key looks like he could still play lol. The shape these dudes are in at that age is incredible
Just not when it counts. We'll agree on some things but not everything. That why it's a free world though.
