Rockets did not have the players to play different I literally CRINGE when PJ, House or BMac have to dribble. Exactly! Now Harden gives the ball up to Uncle Jeff, Kyrie, Harris and KD Those are upgrades at EVERY POSITION!! TLC was CRUSHING the Laker's dreams last nite AMAZING!!! Someone HITS SHOTS leads to him having MORE ASSIST!!! Rocket River
I didn’t specify how much. I asked the question where on the spectrum is he, and has he moved, because the debate has ALWAYS been about him doing more off ball...ie moving along that spectrum. that hasn’t happened. imo, the Goal Posts of Harden changing his game have moved to be about just subtle discussion of how he runs his plays. It really is a very subtle discussion at this point, one so subtle that we all should be in agreement that he isn’t doing anything off ball...more than he ever has.
Anyone remember how Tom Brady changed his game when he got Randy Moss? I guess you can say he threw more long balls. . . .. . but that was only because HE COULD! He never had a field stretcher like Randy Moss . . .. . . That is what is happening in Brooklyn His game "Change" is simply he has more weapons. Rocket River
At the beginning of the season . . .. the NETS NEEDED A PG Everyone knew Kyrie was not the PG for that team Harden fills that role. Lakers got Shoeder because they needed a PG cause they lost RONDO Rondo was the difference last year a TRUE PG is what was needed which is why Harden is fitting in . Rocket River
he actually has legit weapons now wmds before he got there not like in houston he had to weaponize tucker, bmac, house, capela, ego
Harden led a guerilla squad against the champs last year and people blame him for having to much usage and not playing off ball enough
Harden may win multiple chips as the NBA's best player, at least Houston Harden will be remembered as the greatest scorer of all time that never had help and Brooklyn Harden as a leagues best player and future hall of famer that brought that team several championships. Nets basketball is old school plain and simple, none of the analytical bs Morey and MDA had here. And some people still think Tilman ruined the team.
I found a not so perfect video to illustrate. When we first got Jeff Green last year. There was not another player on the team with Jeff Green’s array of skills. Look how Harden adjusted to that on the Rockets. It’s all about utilizing your personnel and further illustrates how he’s been playing handicapped in regards to roster construction in comparison to similar peers like Steph and Lebron over the years. Dragging and putting teams on his back full of one dimensional players. Look at what he does with freaking Jeff Green fresh off the scrap heap and one foot out of the NBA.
Watching the game last nite. The Nets got up 20 in the 4th . . .. . Then Kyrie started Stat padding. LOL. He went on to just shoot and shoot and shoot. for like 3 minutes. The lead shrunk a little. . .then he fell back into line They got it back to 20 . .. then he and harden sat down I think that is kind of the thing The Nets can blow teams out then allow Durant and Kyrie to "get their stats" if that is important to them Rocket River
I believe this is how he always wanted to play as well...I’ve always felt that Harden would rather average 20 and 10 than 30 and 5 he had to play the way he did or we would not win games last year: 18-3 when he scored at least 40...25-22 when he didn’t 18-19: if he didn’t do the unguardable tour, we don’t make the playoffs Seriously, how many games do we win the past couple of years if Harden was averaging just 25 ppg instead of 30+? In BK, there is no pressure for him to drop 40+ every night or average at least 30. Harden was simply playing how he did in Houston because it’s what Morey and MDA viewed as the best way to generate wins and take the team as far as it could go. We have some idiots on here who think Harden played the way he did because he wanted to generate stats for himself. The stupidity makes me laugh.
Now he gets to do this with Kyrie, Durant, and Harris also. Who do you commit to? You help off Harden, easy bucket. You don't help, these guys get an easy shot.
Harden Screener options: Harris - DO NOT LEAVE THIS MAN OPEN AT THE THREE Kyrie - DO NOT LEAVE THIS MAN KD - DO NOT LEAVE THIS MAN DJ - DO NOT ALLOW THIS MAN TO ROLL TO THE BASKET!!! And then you wait on the Bench TLC - DO NOT LEAVE THIS MAN OPEN AT THE THREE SHAMET - DO NOT LEAVE THIS MAN OPEN AT THE THREE (well sometimes you can) Uncle Jeff - Leave him at your peril Rocket River
Joe Harris is Klay Thompson reinvigorated. Harden never had a role player alongside him that shot like that.
His free throw rate (FTs per FGA) is lowest that its been since his rookie year. The percentage of his FGs that are 3s is the lowest its been since the 2016 season. Percentage of 2s that are assisted is the highest its been since 2014 season. Percentage of 3s that are assisted is highest its been since 2017 season. His turnovers per possession is lowest its been since 2014 season. His FG%, 3FG%, and FT% as a Net would all be career highs. And, yet, everything is exactly the same.
OKC fans have to wonder what could’ve been had they kept Harden and traded Westbrook instead. They have to know by now no matter how much they love Russ that this was the wrong move. Perkins was really the one that needed to go, but all things being equal and they keep Perk, the return for Westbrook would have been far more as he was held in much higher regard at the time. I remember Washington refusing to trade rookie Bradley Beal for Harden. That was Prest’s target, but let’s just say they do Beal in a package with other players for Westy. PG: Harden SG: Beal SF: Durant PF: Ibaka C: Doesn’t Matter (Maybe Nene from Was) Scary Hours Edit: I was wrong. They’re in denial still lol. I understand it. Although the fact that they have been eerily silent since Harden has been playing games tells me I may actually be right. Literally crickets. http://www.thunderfans.com/vforum/s...was-appalled-by-Rockets-Harden-s-team-culture http://www.thunderfans.com/vforum/showthread.php?16832-Harden-traded-to-Nets
