[QUOTE=but this is the link to the website - "its legit Chinese hoop website." Did anyone else find this line amusing?
What about on Light Skin Entertainment Television where people like Chris Brown and Rihanna get there shine?
Was my point that Harden was not important to the Rockets? No, my point was that the Warriors absolutely dominated the NBA last year, which is a fact, and a big part of that dominance was Steph Curry. Can you deny that? Regarding Klay Thompson, you are perhaps right, but he has never been given the reins to a team like Curry has. IMO, he is very far from being in the same level as Curry, and a lot of his success is reliant on Curry getting so much attention from opposing defenses. I'll give you that he is a much better defensive player, but from what I see, Curry is a transcendental offensive player.
That is why the award is not called "Best player on the team that dominated" It is about the value a player has on the team. Remove Harden from the Rockets and might not even make the playoffs. Remove Curry and they might still make it to the second round.
I think most people realize that Curry winning MVP was a joke, at least this makes it obvious that they players certainly don't agree with that decision.
You are correct and that's exactly my point also. The media hates the Rockets I already knew Harden would not win. Getting them to give the Rockets praise was like pulling teeth they really didn't want to do it.
Didnt Curry break jon starks record in the finals with most 3 point fg misses in finals series with 52. I know for sure in game 2 he set a record for most 3 point fg misses in a finals game
The media loves Curry (hence the reason he won the MVP), they'll never speak about any of his bad performances.
Well, at that point it becomes a subjective evaluation of "value". To me, the value of Curry making the 2nd round Warriors the most dominant team in the NBA is more than Harden taking the Rockets from a lottery team to the WCF. And let me be clear on this, if I was building a team from scratch, I would take A Davis, Lebron, (healthy) Durant and Harden over Curry (in that order). That doesn't take away from my view of Curry being the better player over Harden last season. Some of the stuff he did last year was unbelievable, and if he can keep that up consistently, he will be remembered as one of the best ever. I personally don't think he can sustain that level of shooting with 2 guys in his face, but we shall see.
By the way, if any of you capture/upload video of Harden's MVP presentation and speech (ceremony is tonight at 7 on BET), could you please post it in this thread? Would like to add video to the CF story, but I'm going to be out at the Astros game and I know Dave (Clutch) is out as well. Thanks guys.
That trophy looks like it was ripped out of an old 1970's physics experiment. LOL. "Thanks, um... what exactly? ..." "You can collimate your beam now, James!"
I just checked espn to see their negative slant on Harden winning and they haven't even acknowledged it exists. Yet steph curry winning nickelodeon awards was a story last week. What a bunch of dickheads
