Harden is currently in 3rd with 25. One more and he ties Elvin Hayes for 2nd. He's only 7 away from passing Hakeem Olajuwon, and he's only been a member of the Rockets for 4 seasons. Pretty amazing.

Correction... he's only 7 away from a tie with Hakeem. 8 away from passing him.

It's really just the turnovers that need to go down. He's still the Beard. A summer of Olympic ball will have him playing like and MVP again next season.

Not surprising, Harden is a way better offensive player than Hakeem.

WOW. If you replaced Olajuwon with Harden, the Rockets would have won 5 championships in a row.

(Sorry, I couldn't help but piled on. Impressive stat. Also another example of how interpreting stats is complicated.]

That may be true, but is irrelevant to my post.

LOL this thread going as expected...

Cool stat, OP. Harden is truly elite scoring the ball. That is all.

Not in the playoffs and not this year.

Also Hakeem didn't do it while "resting" on defense. I wonder what kind of offensive numbers he would put up if he "roamed" on defense instead of being a top 2 defensive player of all time.
