i'm not enamoured w/ the actual picks -- we're basically hoping that big time FA's (such as KD) do not continue wanting to play in NYC. and that bucks pick and the first swap are both useless. then even if the picks do get conferred to us, we're depending on 1) the rigging league office actually choosing us for a top lottery pick (unlikely) 2) tilfuk's bargain basement scouting staff making the right pick 3) tilfuk's bargain basement developmental staff helping those picks realize their potential (most likely they waive/trade them off and then bring them back a few yrs later at huge cost lol). a lot of our direct competitors are loaded with top young players already (MEM, DAL, NOP, etc). we are now 5yrs behind them just praying to beat the overwhelming odds of coming up with a top 3 player whilst doing it w/ the cheapest ownership in sports. UNLIKELY
Hey look on the brightside, at least we got the Westbrook front page picture changed... Very happy right now.
IS HARDEN CONFIRMED OVERWEIGHT NOW HE PLAYS FOR A DIFFERENT TEAM? IT'S VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION DO YOU HAVE PHOTOS OF HARDEN OVERWEIGHT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!
If ownership isn't going to pay free agents and also will suck at drafting, the team was going to suck regardless of any trades or other circumstances, so it wouldn't matter anyway.
The Celtics weren’t willing to part with Jaylen Brown to obtain Harden, according to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated (video link from NBC Sports Boston). With young stars in Brown and Jayson Tatum, the Celtics are on a different timetable than the Nets, Mannix adds. https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2021/01/latest-on-the-james-harden-trade.html
Ok after a couple hours I was able to gather my thought. I wish nothing but the best to Harden, sad we didn’t get a chance to see him bring a chip to the city of Houston. I hope he gets the rings he’s chasing. In the stance of the rockets I believe we ship off Wall, dipo, EG and PJ all before the start of next season( PJ first obviously). Pretty obvious Stone like his picks and the flexibility to make A) Either trade for a future disgruntle star B) Build through the draft.
if we had traded for actual promising prospects we'd still have a better chance going forward. any one of MPJ, herro, maxey at least gives us SOMETHING in hand. even presti got SGA out of the clips. NOP got ingram, ball, AND #4 pick. as it stands we are just hoping/praying we end up w/ promising prospects down the road
