Honestly I'm not sure if it's great for them. They constructed it assuming we would be good for a few years and then rebuilding once Harden's gone. Now we'll likely suck right away, while we still have our picks. We may still suck by the time they have all our s**t, but maybe not.
On hindsight, that's makes the Westbrook trade even dumber. If I were a conspiracy theorist, I'd say Harden intentionally screw the Rockets to do OKC a solid.
I have like zero hope of that happening, but if through some miracle it did? I would be running around the neighborhood laughing and screaming hysterically. My neighbors would likely call EMS and tell them to bring a straitjacket.
sure... i mean how could the personalities of Blames, Kyrie and KD blow up into a toxic situation? and the chances of a season derailing injury could never happen... Care to make a tipjar wager now on whether or not the Nets make the playoffs for the next 7 years?
But think of all the charitable work this organisation will be doing! Putting in the hard yards to suck and getting good draft picks.... and giving them to Oklahoma City!
Yeah, I never get the sentiments that we will be good after 5 years. There are perennial rebuilding teams ... we can’t say for sure what will happen in 5 years to NBA even. This said, Harden wanted out. He got his wishes. Not equal value in return. That’s all.
if KD and Harden want him gone--and Nash and MDA are coaching--then Kyrie is out. doesn't matter if he has no value
Happy for James. Looks like we are all in on tanking if we do not immediately get a good starting guard and at least one big proven player who can rebound.
