[Wojnarowski] "This is certainly a situation for Philadelphia that they don't want to domino into Joel Embiid's future ... That clock is always ticking on what it means for your best player and that clock is ticking now for the Sixers and Joel Embiid."
I am fine with him firing, I am just pointing out that this is what started the entitled period....I don't like Harden or Mchale. McHale is a **** coach, and Harden an entitled b****. DD
Morey promised harden a good contract after harden took little to help out team last year yen Morey backed out on his word to harden.. so it's stupid to be public but it's blame on both sides but the GM did blind him tho
If that bottom one is true, that the Sixers never even made an offer to Harden after he took a giant pay cut last year to help them build the roster (almost certainly with a wink-wink deal that they'd make it up on the next contract), then it's understandable why Harden calls them out. The problem is, it adds to his already sizable whiny b**** reputation. As for DM and the Sixers... nobody really cares except for the fans of that team. It won't hurt them a bit.
If Harden thinks he’s worth max, he should opt out and see what the market offers him. Since he’s opted in, he should stfu and honor his contract. There’s nothing wrong on Morey’s part for putting his team first.
Harden took a paycut of about $14M, hardly a "little." That was 27.5% of his salary he gave up. If he did it without an agreement, then he's a dumbass. If there was an agreement (even oral), then the Sixers are at fault. 100% expected take.
Morey traded CP3 because Harden.. lol These Harden fans are crazy. If Harden wasn't so awful in 90% of his playoff games he would have his payout in philly. No roster will ever be good enough for Harden. Jordan, Dream and Clyde could be his teammates and Harden would complain.
Man those 18/19 earned jerseys were the best we've ever had since Clutch City days. Seeing Harden and CP together already feels nostalgic even though it wasn't even that long ago...enough time to see a common denominator in all of this and it's Harden. Morey has his major faults, but James has been destructive to teams since the end of the '19 season. "i know what i have to do" run out the guy who helped you win 65 and nearly knock out the supposed unstoppable, greatest cheat code team ever built that's such an excuse used for LeBron who is supposedly the goat to some blind people. You were that close and you come back the next season to tie the series up and lose some close ones to the obvious eventual champs again if not for injuries and a fluke Toronto championship, but that's not when you blow it up...ESPECIALLY after the injuries just happened to KD and Klay! You come back and say no one can stop you now! ****! CP went on to play 70 games the next 2 seasons including all the way to the finals. We could have potentially pulled off a b2b especially considering CP would have rested for months leading up to that bubble. What a joke man. CP has ups and downs in how long he lasts but we had such a good thing, that you take that risk and run it back as many times as their bodies allow you.
Morey promised to take Harden to the strip clubs and he renegaded when his wifey found out!!! Harden should've got it in writing.... Go Rockets!!! ....... ....... .......
It absolutely would. But it both sides have a long relationship of working together, it's easy to imagine them kind of hinting at it without actually stating it, and assuming the whole thing would be their little secret. Until one side renegs and the other side gets all pissy about it in public. Harden won't come right out and say that's what happened, of course.
He was but I do not have anything against Milkhair in 2023 when he is not a coach just a guy who tells narratives.
It's really easy to say that the end of the Harden/CP3 era was because Tilman pulled the trigger on the trade (because he admitted he did), but the thing that stands out the most to me is the on-court interaction between the two players after CP3 returned from injury that second year. There was an obvious disconnect between them and MDA, for whatever reason, couldn't/didn't resolve it, and that's what eventually led to the trade. Looking at it strictly from that standpoint, I've got to ask this question: Which of those two players would be more stubborn about getting his way? 75% of me says Harden can be selfish, but the other 25% says CP3 can be a d*ck. Bottom line is, Morey and MDA should have found a way to get these two great players on the same page. We had a trophy just waiting for us to claim it, and all FOUR of these mfers dropped the ball. So infuriating.
Not a good look, at least say it through someone else, your reps.... to say it during a bball camp to teens....dang.
