He was a wing, like Elie. SG and SF are interchangeable. They only created these positions so non basketball players could understand. Lots of teams do no deploy "true" centers, in the present or in the past. And many systems utilize 3 wings and post player. Or 4 wings and no post player.
Man, with all due respect, Rodney played at small forward. You can call him a wing if you like, but his position when he played for the Rockets was small forward. It's also what he played at Louisville.
