Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think Harden could play like he is.

He's dominating on both ends of the court. He's dunking and cutting. He shotting, wheeling and dealing assists - and his passing is beautiful. He's duping and rebounding. It's been the best I've ever seen him play ever. With so much energy and passion and heart.

Best of all, he's making his teammates better.

That's what the very best of the best players do. What has gotten into this guy? At first I thought it was just the level of competition, but it's clear that this is a very different James Harden. If he can play like this consistently we don't need another playmaker on the floor, just great shooters and cutters.

In a way losing Lin and Parsons might have truly opened up Harden's game.

Is this your opinion or are you testing your cousins opinion on the board.

Knew he'd be good when we traded for him. Never expected him to be quite like this, though. Unreal.

I never thought he could be THIS GOOD. But I fully admit I am pretty terrible at judging a player's potential.

He's just seemed smarter all season so far. For the first time ever I can see him as the best player on. A championship team.

Overall he has been playing well, needs to still cut down on the TOs but he's playing like a top 5 player right now.

That U.S. Gold metal really helped Harden on his games and his mind. He matured so fast.

Yeah totally agree. I also attribute kevins decision of leaving team USA to the leadership he had to show moving forward. That along with coach K really made a difference.

his defense has vastly improved, just needs to cut down the turnovers....he's still not a PG. he's a shooting guard with playmaking skills. he doesn't take care of the ball enough when going coast to coast.

He's on a whole new level man. Definitely MVP-worthy. However, I'm a bit worry that we are relying on Harden too much. I wonder what will happen to our offense late in the season and into the playoffs when Harden starts to feel tired or goes on off-nights.

This is a special team and a special season. I understand why Morey refuses to kill his 2016 cap, but I no longer agree with protecting next Summer's cap. If Morey can bring in help, but it kills any chance of landing a star free agent until 2015, he has to give it serious consideration, so contracts which don't expire until 2016 should not be deal breakers, not in a year where the Thunder are crippled.

The goal ought to be Durant in 2016, anyway, and a strong push into the playoffs, both this season and next, could be a huge factor in reeling him in.

He should keep his day job (SG)...

How is he considered a PG when he has more TO than Assists (current game vs Spurs)?

Maybe he's like Kobe, SG who is the primary ball handler.

Did you watch the game? He was making some great passes. Don't just look at stats.

No, I'm poor, so all I see are stats. :(

Would you consider LJ a PG as well? He makes amazing passes, so did Yao Ming.

Stats don't tell everything son. Watch the games, Harden is making his teammates better. That kind of play is similar to the top point guards in the NBA, and it doesn't always show up in the box score. Trust the eye test on this one.

Yao and LeBron are great players. You can call them whatever you want.

    I think it's his uncle's opinion.

And it was probably his aunt who posted for him/her when (s)he said that her/his time at the board had come to an end.

I guess that must be the reason why (s)he just acts as if (s)he had not announced that, and continues to post.

Harden is the reason Houston will never ever have to spend more than $1M on a point guard. And the same reason why Kyrie and LBJ will be a disaster in Cleveland. You never ever take the rock out of Harden's or LBJ's hands. If you do then you have just wasted half their talent.
