A close up look at the Nike Zoom Crusader shoes that Harden has been wearing this year: From http://www.nicekicks.com/2013/11/18/nike-zoom-crusader-james-harden-pe/ There is some more info on the shoes here: http://kicksoncourt.com/nike-zoom-crusader-another-look/
"The shoes that ruined Harden's feet." But for real I actually like them. At least I like the red and white ones he wears in the games.
they're so james harden. first shoe in a long time that I see that fits the player, retro and modern.
Not to change the topic too much but... Ever since that Curry and Harden Foot Locker video, I've been looking for any kind of "3 The Harden Way" or others in Foot Lockers. They have nothing! Neither does the website... Anyway one know if they're just not out yet? Or did I completely miss the boat on this stuff...
Nike site says it is no longer available: http://reviews.nike.com/9191/617726...-t-shirt-reviews/reviews.htm?sort=helpfulness
They actually resemble the Kobe 8's more, but it is one of the most popular basketball shoe out there right now, and the zoom crusader will likely be a less expensive shoe.
I have those and wore them to a ball game. Opponent dropped 30 points on me. Good thing I had my entourage with me to make me feel better.
I play in Kobe sevens. The sole flares out so you are less apt to roll your ankle. Can't tell if this shoe has the same flared sole.
Hasn't that be pretty much debunked though? I remember a study where the authors proved that, for the forces involved when you roll your ankle, hightops would need to be made of concrete to make any difference, and in that case the forces would travel to your knee and trip that up instead.
The main thing to look for in ankle stability is the midsole thickness. Thicker midsoles make you more prone to roll your ankle because of a higher center of gravity for your foot. Although, Kobe went from low tops to a freaking knee high shoe after his Achilles injury. All in the mind I guess?
Yeah I thought that too. The idea that a couple inches of feaux leather and minimal padding could prevent an ankle injury just sounds silly too.
