So Harden doesn't deserve to be on the All Star when its in Houston because of his coach? The Rockets fans have been aching for an All Star on this team for a long time since Yao and Tmac. When they finally got one, they decided to criticized it and hate on him.
As a fellow new poster and also a Lin fan, please just shut up. The entire team has been playing off lately so don't single out Harden as some sort of "retribution" for the Lin bashing. It's embarrassing and it only gives LOH/LOF more fuel.
Based on the last 10 games...probably correct. However, it's based on the first half total body of work...in which he does deserve to play.
How is Harden hurting the team long term? You basing the Rockets struggling streak on the last 10 games to Harden the future of this team? So Harden had a good 30 games and then a 10 games slump and you're all over him... Lin, Asik, Parsons, and the rest of the roster will be either move at one point but Harden is going to be on this team for a long time. He's the main player on this team moving forward. Before, the Rockets didn't know they will get Harden. But after this season, Morey will find players that will fit with Harden. Plus, the Rockets struggling lately isn't because Harden is hurting the team, but the entire team is struggling. Before when the Rockets were winning games and going on winning streaks is because our guys were hitting 3s and making shots. Lately, no one has been making any shots and everyone has been really inconsistent. What's worst is that Harden has also been in a slump. When you think about it, this team outside of Harden doesn't have much talent. All of the stars around the league have other talents to help them out. Harden have Lin who's been incredibly streaky, Parsons who's a 2nd year forward, and Asik... When teams just swarm Harden and suffocated him, how else are the Rockets supposed to win? The opponents doesn't respect the other players enough to not double Harden.
Congratulations, James! Well deserved and the first of many All Star selections. I would have liked to have seen Steph Curry selected as well, but since when has the League been fair?
Is that right?? How many posters have said they wouldn't even watch the game if Lin made it? True Lin doesn't deserve it but still it would be good for Houston. How hypocritical.
Also, the Rockets lead the league in turnovers because they are the youngest team in the NBA and this is a completely new team. You can't expect a team that got rid of all their core players, then rebuild their entire team full of young high potential players and expect them to do well? Yes Harden has a lot of turnovers but so does the rest of the team. Harden had at least 3 turnovers against the Nuggets because of trying to pass the ball to Asik. They ran a pick and roll together and Harden got double team but made a nice slick pass to the rolling Asik who didn't even reach down to grab the ball. Another time Harden made a pass towards Asik who was cutting walking to the basket by himself but he didn't notice the pass coming...
The Rockets lead the league in turnovers because their point guards stand in the corner. Again coaching...
He WAS having allstar caliber season if you dont count the last month and a half. All of his numbers have significantly dropped
When it looked like Lin might make the All Star team a lot of people said it was meaningless, just a popularity contest, etc. etc. Now that Harden made the team everyone thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. I don't give a CRAP that Lin didn't make the team - HE DOESN'T DESERVE IT - even he says so. But the fact is the season is going to get a lot uglier unless the coach is changed. The way he's playing Harden is a big factor in the current downturn of the team. And it ain't getting better anytime soon - mark my words.
There's literally like 5 threads in the GARM that you can PMS all over your problems about Harden McHale coaching change etc, stop derailing this thread my friend.
Why are we comparing s scrub like Lin 12ppg to a superstar like harden 26ppg. Harden is carrying the team to a .500 record. With the rest of our scrubby players we would be the worse team in the league.
You LOFs really need to relax. get mad because lin is cut. so you hate on harden? just proves how delusional you guys are. Apparently coaches voted him in and thought he was deserving.
This is a win win situation for Houston and the fans around the world...in a sense. This whole All-Star things proves that Lin is the most popular Rockets player and that Harden is the best player on the team. Makes sense for things to end up like this.
LOL..that's going a bit too far. People are giving too much credit to one player for that meager .500 record. If you've watched the good December stretch, the winning games coincide with Lin playing solid games. When coach benches you for taking more than 10 shots a game...what can you do?:grin:As usual...haters are disrespecting what the kid can do.
We ARE one of the worst teams in the league right now. Look and see how many teams have lost 8 out of their last 10.
