I noticed that too, almost every commentator on NBATV picks Harden for MVP. Jalen Rose and ESPECIALLY Rick Fox are some examples
We need the Warriors to drop a few more games and they are just 4-3 in the past 7 with Curry's assist numbers dropping.
if harden and curry met in the final of the 3 point contest and harden wins... he wins the mvp for sure
Heck, I'd love it if that scenario played out. It could be epic. James is quite capable of beating Curry, if he has his shot going. Harden's middle name is Clutch.
Davis is nowhere near the conversation, you absolutely cannot be considered if you don't make the playoffs
Or barely make the playoffs for that matter. He will get his time in the discussion. It just isn't now
Harden is leading MVP race according to everybody BUT Sekou Smith. People took notice of Harden's amazing game last night.
If the Rockets can somehow finish top 3 then he will have a decent shot. Any lower than that and it'll likely go to Curry. Or LeBron if the Cavs go crazy lol
It's Curry's to lose. It's between him and Harden. Harden will win it if Houston isn't too far back of the WArriors (I say like 2-3 games). Right now the difference is 6.5. With Dwight's injury, it could widen. So unless the Warriors go on a huge losing streak, Curry is the favorite right now.
Yup. But look at what LeBron has averaged since coming back from injury. If he keeps that up for the last 3 months he can easily enter the convo (Cleveland just isn't going to lose much in the East).
Of course. In each of the past two games Harden led all players in scoring (40+), rebounding, assisting, tied in most steals. We are talking about the Blazers and the Suns, not just some east door mats. Harden does it all.
It is Harden for MVP and it's not even close. Curry has Thompson so he will hardly be doubled team. Harden has nobody and the Rockets are a lottery team without him.
LeBron had a decent game. (18 pts off 6-16 shooting, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists) if the NBA says anything about him gaining speed in the MVP I'll be livid
