Terrible Fan: "James Harden is out of shape and I never see/read about him working on his game in the off season." Internet: *Vids showing James Harden playing bball in the off-season. Terrible Fan: "What an idiot, he could get himself hurt by playing with those scrubs"
Probably deserves it's own poll too so members can vote on whether or not IDIOT: James Harden won the tip at Drew League. This means he might play center next season. A) It Deserves it's own thread B) It doesn't deserve a thread at all C) Isn't creating a poll on whether to create a thread creating a thread D) No, a thread about whether to start a thread is not a creating a thread about the original topic Then in the body of the message you have to say "Discuss.".
I think they just meant summer debut. LAUNFD played at least one game before this one, but Sunday was Harden's first.
I think some are taking what I said to far and I knew it would be unpopular but I'm not saying he shouldn't do it it's just insane to me... it would be like Connor McGregor or Floyd coming and joining my backyard fight club after they got paid 100 million to do the fight. Sure you might say wow the competitiveness is nice and I agree but it just doesn't make sense for a professional athlete to perform for free imo.
NBA All-Star guard James Harden and backcourt newcomer Chris Paul are expected to team up Sunday for LA Unified in the Drew League in Los Angeles, a source told The Undefeated. This marks the first time the two will play together since Paul was acquired by the Houston Rockets. The matchup at the famed Pro-Am is even more intriguing due to the fact that LA Unified plays Home Town Favorites, which is expected to star 2017 NBA Most Valuable Player Russell Westbrook, a source said. Rockets general manager Daryl Morey is expected to attend, as well as other members of the team's brass. Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell, who were traded to the Los Angeles Clippers this offseason for Paul, and prep star Marvin Bagley III are also expected to play for LA Unified. It will also be Paul's first time playing publicly since being dealt to the Rockets after six seasons with the Clippers. Former NBA player Dorrell Wright and Toronto Raptors guard Delon Wright are expected to play for Home Town Favorites. Other NBA players expected to play in earlier Drew League games on Sunday include Andre Drummond, Nick Young, Julius Randle, Tarik Black, Stanley Johnson and Frank Kaminsky. Bleacher seats are free to the public on a first come basis.
In before Russell westbrook stat pads for a triple double and his team loses but he is named Drew League MVP
Are there any rules in drew league as to the number of NBA players per team? If not they should be calling Melo to come run with the them lol
That game is gonna be litty. Looking forward to highlights. ETA: I noticed they didn't mention Bobby Brown would be playing. Guess they want to keep the crowd down to a manageable number.
'source' is most likely Bobby... Did CP3 make up his mind to join the Rockets mid-season (2016-17)? [Marc J. Spears - December 2, 2016] "Brown said that LAUNFD will have Harden, Young and an NBA All-Star to be revealed later next season, too."
That game will he must-see TV! They need to put that on FS1 instead of the Big 3 League if that's still even going on right now. here's some videos of Harden, CP3, and Melo playing on the same team during the lockout
