Andre Miller has a great post game for a guard and he's be quietly a great player. One of the league's best kept secrets

Hardens defense was bad due to lack of effort. He doesnt really have to work on his defense. Defense is all about effort, discipline and playing hard.

If he wanted to, Harden could be a lock down defender on this team.

He needs to call Hakeem asap. If he's serious about getting a post game Dream should be the first person he calls

Maybe if he got past the first round they'd know about him. Lol.

Im not surprised. I saw little flashes of a post game in the later part of the season. Also there was a mention of Harden "hanging around" the big men while they were practicing post moves.

Ah yes, the lost art of the mid-range jumper. He would be deadly if he could develop that BUT I wished he would focus more on defense though. His defense is his biggest weakness and that's what's holding him back from taking his game to the next level. Jordan, Kobe, Drexler, these guys all played both sides of the ball and that's what makes Wade so good. The same thing that separates those guys from say Mitch Richmond or Reggie Miller for example.

Right now Harden reminds me most of Michael Redd when he had his torrid stretch before going down with injury. Explosive offensive player with minimal defense. I hope Harden really focuses on this first and foremost before anything. The thing that bugs me is Harden can and should be a very good defensive player. He has all the physical tools and athleticism to make it happen. He just needs to put in the effort and study more. It's not like he's a hopeless case like Kevin Martin for example.

Yea it's more of a conditioning issue. Which is something I expect him to work on.

my biggest pet peeve with harden is his complete disregard for defense. He doesnt even stay with his man. He floats in the paint, completely abandons his man on defense and lets the other perimeter guys cover him which in turn overextends our defense.

Ive lost count how many times Harden's man beats him on a backdoor cut for a layup or the man he's guarding is shooting wide open shots because Harden just didnt guard him.

its quite disconcerting that there is no talk of defense or defensive responsibility instead, he wants to shoot more shots and in essence become the shooting guard version of carmelo anthony.

speaking of carmelo anthony and the knicks, its frightening how our offense is so similar to theirs. ISO heavy in perimeter with no real set plays.

Good thing is, he does mention getting better defensively. Reporters just failed to make him emphasize on it.

So you expect that he's only going to work on his offense and nothing else...??? Lol..

Harden's lack of defensive effort probably had more to do with his conditioning than anything else. Don't forget he probably didn't train as if he was a number one option last off-season because he was on a team with Durant and Westbrook... His defense will get better when he gets in better shape (because his defense was better when he was with OKC) so he won't be so drained from what he does on the offensive end...

I remember what this team looked like with a veteran player in Kevin Martin so no way am I going to complain and nic pic about a 23 year old kid that carried us to the playoffs...

    Complain, complain, More Complaints.

I have to give it to Harden, he did a pretty good job of defending Ibaka and boxing out on him.

I completely thought he would crush us in the low post while we were playing small against OKC.

And by the way, we already have started talking and winning here. Now after a full season together we should be fully prepared to take it another level and advance past the 1st round.

Lebron worked on his post game with Hakeem and came back a new player. Maybe we'll see Harden come back with the same improvement. Teach him some footwork and moves to work over smaller SG's and the like. A new threat to his game can only be a good thing.

Feels good to know that James listens and respects what I have to say:

You won't regret it James. ;)
