James Harden just mixed Paul George like some cake mix. Lord of mercy!

The point of the discussion here isn’t to influence the outcome of games, but rather to discuss what happened and what may happen in the future. Whether his move is a violation or not directly relates to that.

Harden should just lean into the Trump comparison and just fire back at all the haters. People seem to love the unapologetic troll

His hand breaks the 180 degree plane - you can clearly see his fingers extend far below that plane. Secondly, the ball pauses and isn't going up and down any more for over a second - that's illegal. Thirdly even if you don't go under the ball, you can't stop a balls dribble in one hand - otherwise players would just palm the ball all the time.

It's a violation. It's total homerism to pretend it is otherwise.

I just want to point out, as a couple of others have, that George could have been called for a foul at least once, maybe twice, on the same play. In my opinion, this is a textbook example of something I like more often than not on bang-bang plays like this. A no call. Refs left the play alone, didn’t call a violation on either player, and the fans were entertained. Thrilled by watching great defense overcome by greater offense, pissed because their star got toasted by our own, or just thrilled because they got to see great basketball played at the highest level by two of its greatest players. A win all around, in my opinion.

I never said Harden's stepbacks are travels. I said this specific play (which is not typically how Harden does his stepback) was a travel, while you insisted it was not.

Lmao! You want dudes dribbling like it’s 1950. Most of his hand is on the side of the ball (100% of anyone who’s ever played does this) For a “clear” violation you’d have to literally have your hand under the ball, that or palm the ball to move it to your advantage. Not sure why it has to be homerism to point out you’re wrong.

This was a troll move by Harden.

He has them yelling all sorts of violations committed in a single play.:

    TRAVEL

    DOUBLE DRIBBLE

    PALMING

    PUSH OFF

    OFFENSIVE FOUL

    HUNTING FOR FOULS

    GRABBING ARM

    FLOPPING

Actually look harder, there are numerous times Nunn has called the Harden step back a travel on his twitter account and I had to bring up the rule changes going all the way back to 2009 in response to what he said. He then claimed the interpretation of the rules vary, but the language of the rule was the same... it took a quote from Stu Jackson about the rule changes to get him to admit it wasn’t a travel

Not trump per se, just an unapologetic heel. If the media and fans are going to demonize him like this, I’d prefer if he just adopt a Trump / Duterte approach and just tell everyone to **** off

Yeah, That’s just his normal stepback. Keeps the ball hanging in his first move back, gathers thens steps back.
