James Harden can have the best 3 quarters of his life but he falls apart the moment things don't go in his way. He internalizes his angst and then displays it by walking around everywhere and showing disinterest when his team is in scoring droughts taking the easy way out by jacking step back threes and not fighting to get open or try something different.

Ocd never seen a player pull a "Mcgrady in Toronto game" stunt in the playoffs until Harden.

 

That doesn't excuse the fact that Harden falls apart the moment he faces some sort of adversity (team scoring drought, not getting the calls he wants, missing a couple of threes in a row etc).

 

Good for him, and I'm really glad. But it is time we start asking if prioritizing someone, no matter how good he is, can be limiting to his teammates productivity.
He keeps increasing his numbers but somehow the team is not improving accordingly.

At one point we had Lowry AND Dragic... If this current era of Harden&Dwight don't win a ring, I'm pointing the blame on letting those two go.
I would rather have Kyle Lowry plus two solid above average starters plus a competent coaching staff over James Harden. Lowry and Harden's talent gap is far less than this GARM bubble allows you to perceive.

 

Stop beating up strawmen. That isn't no where near the root problem. His problem is he is very bad at facing adversity and when things don't go his way. He starts sulking and lazily walking everywhere. His defensive effort goes out the window. He starts just chucking 3s 3 ft behind the line. He starts doing lazy passes.

 

The playoffs haven't ended yet. We will beat OKC, and then against the Lakers we'll see what Harden's stats look like.

 

You can find stats to support any narrative. He disappeared late in a big playoff game. That has been his MO and he proved it again yesterday.

Meh. He’s been pretty bad the 2nd halves of the last 2 games. Especially in the clutch. We need Westbrook if we want to win this series.

The weird disinterest at crucial points in the game is freaking maddening. At this point it's a thing, a trend, a trait of his throughout his career.

 

Are you really laughing? I am a Houston Rocket Fan, not a James Harden one. I will be a Houston Rocket fan long after James Harden is gone.
Are we higher on the standings that last year? Are we higher on the standings vs the year before?
No, we are not.

And the overtime narrative is the weakest one, you can't seriously expect NBA players to start creating shots in rhythm when all they did for 48 minutes was the exact opposite.

So again, I'm not really sure what you are LOLing about, I think we should be concerned about how much control of our team Harden has right now and the accountability around him. That's all, I'm complaining around the system around him.
