First, there is no one in the league that can claim to be Kevin Durant, just like there is no one that can claim to be Lebron James. Both of those guys are both physically gifted as well as incredibly skilled. A case can be made Carmelo is sort of a mix of both but everyone knows you can't find guys like that very often.

Harden is talented and skilled but you can't expect him to suddenly jump to the top of NBA ranks given he still has holes in his game that he needs to work on.

The Harden bashing is idiotic and not constructive criticism. There is a great thread pointing out what Harden needs to improve on that is fair criticism and not knee jerk reaction.

Harden played pretty alright even in game 6. He had 3 games in the series where he scored more than 30 points.

Did he win the game all by himself last night? No. And without doing that it was obvious that some people would whine and cry about his performance.

Did everyone else on the team including Brooks, Parsons, Beverly, Asik, Garcia look worse when Harden wasn't out there? Yes they did. The stretches where Harden wasn't on the floor were the worst for our team.

Are there things Harden needs to improve on and change in order to be the number one option for this team have it be successful team? Absolutely

Is the sky falling? (or in other words)Did the Rockets make a mistake by paying all the money and resting their hopes on Harden? Hell no. He put his heart into the game, played well, played under duress with his illness, and showed a willingness to change and improve.

Thanks Harden. Thanks Lin. Thanks Chandler, Thanks Asik, Thanks Delfino, Thanks Beverly, Thanks everyone on the team who worked their asses off and gave it their all.

The key for harden is, does he see room for improvement in his game. When you're are granted the superstar title and given keys to you own team, you might think you've made it and now it's up to management to put players around you, rather than on you to improve yourself and those around you.

Seriously though. after Westbrook went down it was KD and role players vs Harden and role players. Each won 2 games....

Harden is a better player than T-Mac was when he was playing for the Rockets.

    I speak the truth.

He already is a tier 1 superstar because he's the best player in the West at his position.

I don't think it quite works that way. For example, I don't consider any center a "tier-1" guy this year. Yao Ming wasn't really "tier-1" even though he was the best center in the West for years.

I think Harden is tier-2 right now. Should be tier-1 soon. Sometimes you sort of need a signature playoff run to get to tier 1.

OP is right. Trade Harden for Durant and LeBron.

Nope. T-Mac was a better defender, ball handler, and playmaker. He also has a better mid-range game. Harden can finish better, shoot the three better, and flop better. That's about it.

come on, OP never says that. He just hopes we could add a tier 1 player next season to play along with Harden.

not even close...tmac can take his man 1v1. Tmac can create his own shot. Harden is good but not better than tmac. In the future maybe!

No because LBJ and Durant are the only "tier 1" as people are calling it
