    1) it's not being screwed to lose to a historic season

    2) he doesn't help himself by playing so poorly down the stretch

Harden is on his MVP circuit. He'll win. Relax.

    How?

He played like scrub lately, without defense and effort at all.

This sucks. I don't think Harden is going to win the MVP. He's not doing enough. He needs to do more, but I doubt he does.

I hate being a pessimistic Rockets fan because the bad stuff always ends up happening.

Well considering he shooting 38% from the field for over a month and the Rockets have been up and down during that stretch, the only one who's screwing Harden is Harden himself.

Only thing Harden/Rockets have on Westbrook/Thunder is that we've had a significantly better December. It's about to be march. And we've been trending downwards while OKC has been playing decent.

    Since Jan 1. Rockets 16-10 Thunder 14-12

Westbrook had yet another 40 point triple double while Harden keep playing poorly recently. Harden is not helping himself.

Am I the only one that has a problem with this post? Rockets playing worse yet still have a better record are trending downward while the Thunder with a worse record is playing decent.. The only thing we have on Westbrook and the Thunder is a better record?

Guys.. whats going on here? What are we doing? *rubs temples*

If Harden doesn't win MVP I'm going to be so pissed. Everyone talks about Westbrook's historic season, Westbrook is a beast no doubt, but he's also a stat-padder, all those bigs boxing out for WB to grab rebounds. The Big O didn't win MVP his trip-dub season (the voters knew then that stats weren't everything), take away WB's trip-dub average and Harden is the clear winner.

The reason I'll be extremely pissed is the reason Curry won over Harden in 2015 was because Curry had a better team record (that was the argument), even though the players agreed Harden was the true MVP (giving him the players' MVP).

Now if they give it to WB who statistically isn't even having that much of better season than Harden, even though Harden has the better team record (3rd Seed in the West with no second superstar), they're going to rob him twice!

It's about time another rocket won the MVP, I hope the voters don't let blind stats fool them.

I'm finding reasons for why I'll be okay with Westbrook inevitably winning the MVP so I'm not sad about it when it does happen. Basically, I'm already forming a false narrative in my mind, so I don't have to suffer later. But actually since Jan 1st the Rockets have been on pace to be a 55 win team and OKC a 49 win team.

Houston has been +4.4 since Jan 1st (5th in league) and OKC has been -2.6 since Jan 1st (22nd in league.)
Houston has been +8.7 since Feb 1st (4th in league) and OKC has been -2.4 since Feb 1st (19th in league.)

The problem is that we've been losing games we have ZERO reason losing, or letting teams hang that shouldn't hang.

But I'm going to be over here downplaying the Rockets because it makes me feel better cause I'm pessimistic as ****. Not even when it comes to basketball, but just in my personal life. But that's other stuff.

Also, KD won't play those two games against us next month, but we'll still lose :(

Jim & the Rockets will then have to win 74 games to garner any consideration.

Westbrook's achievement over Harden will be leading his team to a lower seed than Harden. Amazing.

The schedule of Thunder is so easy for them, only 8 playoffs team.

    Without PG13 too.

Also the Thunder are probably gonna go on a run. They have an easy schedule for the most part now.

You seem oblivious to the fact that they just got through losing to the Pacers, too.
