The entire Around The Horn panel said Harden is the MVP.

If the Thunder remain a 6-8 seed than Westbrook should be out of the race. Harden is the favorite but I get the Leonard talk.

    The Jump panel:

Tmac: if Westbrook averages a triple double he should get MVP

Paul Pierce: There should be a co-MVP

    Jason Terry: Harden.

If the season end today it's definitely Harden. But he is slipping a little bit. Gotta get back to winning @ high %

Leonard is a great player on both ends of the floor, but lets see, he has the best coach in NBA history, he has Lamarcus Aldridge, Pau Gasol, Tony Parker, Ginobli, and bunch of good role players and they are only 3 games ahead of us in the winning column, he should be in the talk but there is no way he should win it.

To me its obvious that harden is more VALUABLE than leonard/durant. If pop rests leonard, they still win almost every time - if we'd miss harden for like 10 games we most likely lose 9/10.

PTI guys both had Harden as well. Though wilbon said "Harden, I'm afraid." Begrudgingly gives Harden the nod (likely because of team record).

Rockets absolutely need to keep winning as a team for Harden to keep the edge on Westbrook.

So I guess any payer who can average a triple double should win it disregarding the team's record.....STFU T-Mac

Its hard for me to see us keeping the pace we have in the win column especially since it seems we've come back down to earth... If we fall to like the 4-6 seed and Russ averages a triple double and makes the playoffs I think he should get it.

He's not just averaging a triple double he's averaging like 30/11/11 those are ridiculous numbers

Westbrook is closer to dropping out of double digit assists then he is to getting 11 of them a game. He's at 10.1. If he goes to 9.9 assists per game then his name drops completely from MVP discussion. But I'd say there's no chance his teammates and him let that happen. Anyways, it's likely OKC stays in the range they are in which case Harden's job will be to just win regardless of what Westbrook does from an individual standpoint. Harden's numbers are also ridiculous.

Yeah it's funny how so many people are having a hard time with Harden's awesomeness. But it can't be denied.

The novelty of a triple double is cool and all but harden produces about the same amount of offense as Westbrook but averages around 2 less rebounds per game than him

I guess voters will decide what they value more. Homecourt advantage in 1st round or +2 rebounds per game. We will see

The triple double is the most overrated stat in all of sports.

Harden has 15 triple doubles and no one seems to care.

When was the last time a player won the MVP leading his team to the 7th seed?

LOL that would be hilarious, Russ and James only passing to each other and one of them getting the MVP, I wouldn't be surprised if Russ tries to help Harden get the MVP just to piss off KD
