They were on in the back ground. Not nearly as bad as I anticipated.

Bullshit, bullshit being spewed everywhere. Take cover Rockets fans!

    Same tired arguments.

    Triple-double!
More help for one guy! Less help for the other!
**** no one said at the beginning of the season. They all have amnesia. They don't remember saying/writing it. They never said it. They're misunderstood. blahblahblahbullshit...

Yeah they lost Durant. He ran off Durant but shhh, we don't talk about that.
Rockets lost Howard. And you b****es in the media had no problem throwing James under the bus.
And in the aftermath, the Thunder decided they wanted to build around 4 big guys: Adams, Kanter, Sabonis & Gibson at the deadline.
And the Rockets went with shooters. Anderson & Gordon sure did take New Orleans to the next level!

So what you're saying is, past 2 years, you would vote differently. Curry wouldn't be the MVP because his team was too good, he had too much help, he won too many games.

Oh, winning had something to do with it? :D No ****ing way?!

Product of the system? That's just ignorance & I should no longer pay attention to anything you say.

    Yeah, his preseason predictions:

    5. Oklahoma City will make the playoffs
Last I checked, good teams -- at every level -- start with a good point guard and center. The Thunder still have a great point guard/center combo in Russell Westbrook and Steven Adams. That will be enough to get 44 wins and a postseason berth. It would be too much to ask for OKC to finish eighth in the West and play Golden State in the first round, right?

    8. James Harden will finish in the top three in MVP voting
The Houston Rockets’ All-Star is as polarizing a player as there is in the Association, and Houston’s fall from grace the last couple of seasons synchs with Harden’s drop from second in the 2014 Kia MVP vote. But with the ball in his hands all the time in coach Mike D’Antoni’s system, Harden’s assist totals will go up with no discernable impact on his scoring average. And a guy that goes for, say, 26 points and nine assists a night for a playoff team is going to get strong MVP consideration.

    http://www.nba.com/article/2016/10/24/morning-tip-24-predictions-for-2016-17-season
    Like I said, bullshit everywhere.

So all these voters & media members can go **** themselves, especially those at ESPN, every single last one of them.

Morey, keep speaking out. Keep calling out the bullshit & hypocritical voters/media. Keep supporting Harden & the Rockets. "Oh, just shut up! It's gonna turn off the voters!" Then odds are they weren't in his favor anyways. Keep on keepin' on.

It really gets to me when media says the rockets struggle "the past few years" or last "couple of seasons"

Lol we had a wcf 2nd seed year then one bad year and here we r today.

It was just one bad season not "multiple" or "couple" or "some" or "few"

In the end...just gonna have to accept Harden will never be recognized for his accomplishments. Narrative will never be in his favor. Media will never be on his side. Will never be the "fun" story.

I admit it took me a while to accept it. I'm not mad, but I am sad. I'm very very sad. Harden will go down as a great, but he will be largely forgotten compared to his contemporaries, and it is largely because of the media and the warping of his perception, and that saddens me greatly.

Harden will continue to finish 2 or 3 or 4 or so in the MVP race, depending on the narrative at play during the season, but he will not finish 1, because that requires the media to be on your side, and that is an obstacle that not even the greatness of James Harden can overcome.

I cannot & will not accept it! but you're probably right.

I'm mad & I'm disappointed. The slander must stop. Put some respek on his name.

Stop with what he can't do or doesn't do. Let's talk about what he can do, what is he doing. Nope, media's not trying to have any of that.

Harden will just have to keep doing what he's doing statistically and win a chip or 2. That's the only way he'll get validation thru the media.

The media would not be doing this if Harden wasn't great. He is undoubtably great and represents a direct threat to the media's #1 guy that they hitched their wagon to back on 4th of July. The push for Westbrook and the constant dogging of Harden is a backhanded acknowledgement of Harden's greatness this season.

I guess that'll have to be enough for us.

I can't do it either. ESPN has won, I can no longer take the staggering levels of stupidity and bias.

On austins 1300 the zone i heard some guy call harden the most underrated defender in nba history citing his defensive win shares.

His argument for him being the most under rated defender was that he is average or slightly below average but is made out to be a complete joke from most talking heads.

So theres some recognition at least.

I think a big part of it is that they are all embarrassed about leaving him off all nba last year. That is widely accepted as an idiotic mistake at this point. Jalen rose mentioned how dumb that was.

Props to durant for calling that one out

when morey was on Mike/Mike today and said something about harden being MVP...Mike Green just said ya I am going to disagree with you on that.
I think morey said oscar didn't even win it the year he had the triple double.

Yep! If the Rockets can't stick up for their players, who will? Especially when the Rockets get hate from all sides. I don't like when fans tell Morey to shut up on Twitter. This stuff needs to be said, because there is no one in the media that has the Rockets back. There is no one on Twitter that has enough clout to get pro-Rockets opinions on front page news. If you think this kind of stuff is a detriment to James Harden, you haven't been paying attention; Anything and Everything is to the detriment of James Harden.

    Furthermore, I remain optimistic.

If Morey said that, I expect more; I need him to come with harder rebuttals.

Screw each and every person except for Jeff Van Gundy that says leaving Harden off All-NBA last year was "dumb" or "embarrassing" or "a mistake" or anything of that nature, because those are the same people who obliterated him throughout the entire season last year without lifting a finger to say otherwise. Spare me. They knew what they were doing last season.

the only thing that's going to be better than harden getting the mvp is harden whooping westbrook in our series.
gosh i would love to hear what the media has to say then.

I agree. that's what I'm saying. part of why they are trying to discredit harden is because I think they are insecure and subconciously embarassed about how dumb that was.

they are prideful bastards who wanna justify any mistake

    Here's what they'll say.

"It's a regular season award. Westbrook still very deserving of the MVP"

Here's what would happen if Harden won MVP and the Thunder won

"This just goes to show that Westbrook should have won MVP"

Anytime James Harden is involved, you have to account for the double standard.

If the Rockets win the championship, 100% of the credit must go to the emergence of Troy Williams.
