Can you provide the times in the video? The only instance I saw occurred at the 0:12 mark when Adams blatantly lets Westbrook have a rebound that Adams should've gotten.

    Are you referring to this?

The goalposts have been moved so many times, they're on a different field now. Jackson says that the Thunder ARE winning because they're the 6th seed? I'm glad to know that this is the new standard for MVP voting. Put up huge numbers and as long as you qualify for the postseason, you can win the award. I bet Kobe would like a do-over in that 2006 race.

Someone revoke Stephen Jackson's media credentials.. I can no longer ride with this dude due to him growing up in close proximity to Houston.

    LOL

    Heard it all now...

    It's the system...
    It's the system...

Yeah. That's why the Lakers under MDA did so well. That's why the Knicks did so well.

That's why MDA's phone was burning up from all the coaching offers...

Windhorst goes "recency bias" with Westbrook. Says Westbrook does not pad stats. And says Harden's numbers are somewhat product of system.

ESPN voters are capped by NBA. Lessening the echo chamber.

Michelle Beadle has an MVP vote! How is that possible!? This is my nightmare... she doesn't have Harden as her top 2..

LZ has James Harden as #5 if he had a vote!

    my gawd.. where am I?

    http://www.nba.com/article/2017/04/10/morning-tip-deciding-russell-westbrook-james-harden-mvp

    I’m voting for Westbrook.

    Here’s why:

    1. The triple double average -- not as an arbitrary stat, but as a means to win games.

    2. Westbrook’s supporting cast is … uh …

Harden’s teammates include Ryan Anderson, who’s shooting 40 percent this season on 3-pointers, and Eric Gordon, who’s shooting 37 percent on 3-pointers, and Patrick Beverley, who’s shooting 38 percent.
By contrast, the Thunder are tied for last in the league in 3-point percentage this season, and 26th in made 3-pointers. Victor Oladipo is the next most proficient 3-point shooter on the team after Westbrook; he makes two 3-pointers a game.

    3. Westbrook is the only MVP playing on a team which lost an MVP candidate from the year before.

How do you come back when you get nothing for your franchise’s best player? The answer is, in almost every case, you don’t.

Let's close this thread and stop wasting time. It's over.

I think they should vote for Harden, but you have to remember the profession they've chosen:

Good facts in the article. Will be interested to read the case made for the other 4.

Is Harden done? Respond man. Westbrook has basically run away with the MVP the past few weeks and Harden just casually gets his season average. It's not enough.
Take a lesson from what Russell is doing and just play selfish and look out for you these last few games. Go off. Go for back to back 50 point triple doubles or go for 60+ back to back. **** it man. This is all the media and fans care about. Who cares if you take 50 shots. Who cares if you have 15 turnovers. Those things are completely irrelevant these days. People just want to see the big shiny statistic despite how it was achieved.

I'm serious. Who cares about winning these last 2 games? Sit down with your teammates and coaches and tell them he's going to play selfish and go off for the MVP and it's going to take no less than 50 shots and the ball in his hands all game long and tell coach not to take him out.

We live in a sports world where people only live in the moment. 2 insane games to close out the season and the better team record and being only 2 rebounds shy of a triple double average while being 2nd in scoring and 1st in assists is enough to leave the voters completely unsure of who to vote for.

Isn't he the guy who completely forgot to put Harden on his ballot 2 years ago?

Pretty sad that she has a vote being as biased as she is.

I am looking forward to seeing the public results of these votes to identify the haters and see where Harden is placed.
