What are you talking about man? They said if Harden wasn't on the team the Rockets would still be the 6th seed. This isn't about filling that spot with someone else.

Oh it is funny, because a team led by Anthony Davis with Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon couldn't make the playoffs most years. I just have to LOL at the logic. Is Anthony Davis the real cancer? That is the logic that you would then have to prove to make that true. Hysterical.

Wow. If Butler and Bayless think the Rockets would be the 6th seed WITHOUT Harden they both must be smoking crack!!! NO WAY IN HELL THIS WOULD HAPPEN.

Those Pelican teams always had significant injuries.

This is also not be taken seriously. I have read a lot but I never read this. This is surely coming from one single source.

The source does not equal to one vote. So who are "they"?

How would they be trading for another all star with their limited assets?

Where in the box score does it show teammates boxing out and passing up shots to chase three round numbers? Or maybe that's even more ambiguous and inaccurate.

It's in the video posted on the other page. I'm not sure if Bayless has a vote or not. I agree it shouldn't be taken seriously but it is nationally propagating stupidity.

Yeah, but that was before russ became super clutch and putting up multiple 50 pt trip-dubs and breaking the Big O's record, a lot of swing voters have switched from Harden to Westbrook these days.

I think $50 is something I could comfortably lose, wouldn't want to risk 1k, but damn those odds are juicy! Still a cool $350 earnings for me if people vote in the traditional sense.

Rockets had an interesting stat that no one since 1997 has won MVP without being on one of the best 4 teams in the NBA

A rebound is a rebound. There's no ambiguity there. Either you got it or you didn't.

On the other hand, "points created" is too subjective. You can refer back to my Olajuwon/Curry examples.

Yea that's not true. The media hates James Harden (us) because of their misconceptions, biases, and disdain for his style of play. These are the same people who did not vote him All NBA after an amazing season remember. That's straight up hate.

Bayless thankfully doesn't have a vote, and he's not a respected analyst who is known for his basketball insight. This dude said that Ariza was an all star. Bayless is just known as a paid troll. I do not think the voters (other than known idiots like Chris Broussard) would take anything that he has to say into account.

I disagree that stats are stats especially since I've witnessed for much of the season OKC and Russ conspire and orchestrate triple doubles. It's disgusting and should be chastised and instead it's being praised.

Skip Brainless is a loser moron

he keeps bringing up that Russell has beaten Spurs and Memphis twice and Cavs or whatever but the idiot fails to acknowledge that James has beaten the Warriors, Spurs, Memphis also plus James Harden and the Rockets have beaten OKC 3-1

    Dumb, dumb, dumb

I just don't see a guy with the 10th best record winning the award. Does not make sense. This award has always been more weighted towards winning. I don't see it changing when our guy missed the 3x2 by two rebounds that he would get had MDA ordered the troops to box out their man and let Harden get the boards. I just hope people are smarter than that. Harden got screwed over in 15 getting the Rockets to the second seed. Don't do it to him again.
