Honestly the last month that Russ has had makes Harden losing the MVP much more palatable. He's been ridiculously clutch, and probably deserves it at this point.

Let's stop b****in' about MVP. Westbrook deserves it, and he does have less help (that's a fact). Now, does that justify 7~8 game difference between Houston and OKC? I honestly don't know. But from an objective standpoint, Westbrook is having a better individual season than Harden. It's undeniable at this point.

The amount of things that had to go Russ' way these last couple of weeks is pretty crazy. Gotta give him credit even if it was a gimmick.

I do hope Hardens teammates do right by him and help steam roll the Thunder by 30 every game.

Pretty much zero chance of that. The Thunder are the best clutch team in the league. They will win probably 2 games purely off 4th quarter comebacks with Westbrook hitting everything.

Feel bad for James. We'll see what happens in the playoffs.

Harden's had few clutch performances, but overall his clutch numbers are very bad. Also, Westbrook is legitimately a better 3PT shooter than Harden is this year. Crazy, but yeah.

Twas a great run. The bright side is that Harden can replicate many more seasons similar to this, Westbrook will have a hard time topping this lone season. I can see Harden winning the MVP before he hangs it up. GG.

    Houston sports.

Team record mattered above everything in 2014. Carrying a **** team to the playoffs didn't matter in 2015. Now team record doesn't matter and carrying a **** team matters.

The narrative literally changes every season to keep Harden out. Casual fans have ruined the NBA.

Who would have thought when looking at Rose's and Nash's stats when they won their MVP's compared to Harden's stats and with the 3rd best record in the league, that he would lose to someone that's on the team that's the 6th seed in the Western Conference.

    I guess

    Congratulations Russell Westbrook

He has been insane down the stretch willing his team to victories while putting up massive numbers. I do feel Harden was the leading MVP candidate until the past few weeks when Russ has somehow snatched it from Harden

Meanwhile, Harden has been bot so good down the stretch and the recency bias absolutely matters.

I'm not even mad. I'm perfectly OK with Russ being MVP
