Heh, I literally just finished watching that clip when you posted it.. Good to hear that some folks on ESPN are perfectly fine with him missing time to rest that wrist and don't feel it'll harm his MVP chances. I think he needs to take that to heart. And that bit about how missing just one game can buy him 4 days of rest is exactly right. If he sits out the Denver game next week, he'd have 4 days off between the Phoenix and Detroit games. D'Antoni and Harden can be strategic about this if they decide to buy him some rest, but not too much of it.

this guy actually has a vote too...I love how he thinks that it's not close between Harden and Westbrook...somebody with some common sense at ESPN is a rare thing

Weird, coming off a loss, surprising amount of love from ESPN for the Rockets, MDA, and Harden. No one has a problem with Harden resting because of his wrist. Actual MVP voters coming out saying Harden is their MVP even if he rests also love for MDA for COY.

This could also be a bait and switch from ESPN.. In spite of that, whoa.

Look, the Rockets need to shut up about the MVP, let your game do the talking. Guiterrez I think is that guy on ESPN and he's always made the most sense with those 5-on-5 questions and what not. He's intelligent unlike most guys. And it makes sense with these kind of numbers to look past a Kahwi, who's the only one who clearly deserves it if you take into account team record and all-round player. And yes, MDA needs to sit Harden against the Blazers for example. It's just stupid since he's clearly hurt.

Harden got a triple double, so there was nothing bad they could say about him.

I know you do it mostly sarcastically, but what's everyone going to complain about now??

There's always SportsNation! They are still roasting him. Kenyon Martin Didn't though.

Maybe ESPN already knows Westbrook will win MVP so why not praise Harden a bit?

    J/k. Mostly.

Media knows they have to make this dramatic. They'll prop up Harden in order to provide a narrative swing for Westbrook. Anything Westbrook does will be "WILLING HIS WAY BACK TO THE MVP FRONTRUNNER!".

I see right through this sham!

They would pick a "Source" that had Houston with more wins predicted than OKC. #MediaConspiracyIsSerious

This fool Mark Jackson just said he didn't like the Rockets twitter saying more wins and disrespecting triple doubles.

So triple doubles are equal to wins now?

Don't cry and whine about AAU players chasing triple doubles and how they aren't taught to play the game the right way. They are encouraging this NBA 2k stat chasing culture.

Triple doubles are equal, if not better, than wins this season. This has been known for quite some time now.

Van Pelt on ESPN just said he thinks Westbrook will win, but he would vote Harden if he had a vote.

Scott Van Pelt goes with Harden as his MVP choice after Russ gets his 50 point triple dub, too bad he doesn't have a vote for the MVP.

It's over, this 57 point game will be viewed as better than hardens 2, because it came at the end of the season

**** it, let's sweep the Fighting Westbrook's out of the first round. I owe that guy a whooping after what he did to my Aggies in the tournament way back in the day anyways.
