The 3 point contest isn't about whose the best 3 point shooter, it's about whose best at shooting 25 times in 60 seconds, and Curry uses his legs a lot in his shot.
Not only that, it's shooting in the particular pattern, 6 balls in a roll at the same spot. Streak shooters win if they happen to hit their streaks. I would like to see a new format that simulate more game-like situation. For example, have each shooter catch and shoot one shot at each spot and rest (get cool down). And then shoot again from the opposite direction. Something like that.
If harden won I would laugh. This competion really means nothing though. Scrub players who can't even hit 3s in games can win this. Still exciting though.
