I just don't like the idea of overpaying (and at this point that is exactly what we've done) for guys that have never been "the man". For me this summer, particularly the Lin signing, has been one desperation move after another. I hope I'm wrong and management's plan pans out.

Just like Asik and Terrence Jones was at Kentucky, Harden is still underrated. This is the perfect year for him to break out with the All Star Game here in Houston.

Let's hope this is the year he steps forward into the #1 spot among SGs.

Contract looks good. Can't wait to watch him grow.

Worth every penny! Can you imagine how bad we would be without him. His energy, hustle, scoring and court vision is what kept us in the game. Harden's the man!

They keep saying that. They know that we have him for 6 years. They know he signed for 80 mil today. Thus, confusion.

Deserves every penny based off this first game, he is playing both our starting SG and backup PG. LOL, I actually have hope for the first time in months that we can be more then a lottery team.

    Great find!

It's not exactly unorthodox to express portions of a sports contract in terms of incentives.

Nevermind the longevity and waiver caveats, James Harden will at the very least be an All Star this season. He even averages 26.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists at the moment, so those 20 / 3 / 3 thresholds seem very reachable as well.

That young man is going to get his paper!

So we should now stop voting Harden in the all-star balloting... :)
