Joe Johnson is nowhere close to as good.

A young Gonobili who can play 30+ minutes is a much better comparison.

He's using stats from Joe Johnson's entire career, which would include the years before he was in ATL when he was playing with an extremely talented suns team, and with one of the fastest paces in the NBA.

lebron took a paycut and is making roughly 20m/per please pay attention.. joe johnson is making more than lebron and many have harden above JJ as the 3rd best SG in the league.

To guys who are complaining, do you wish you had Gordons contract or Hardens?

After that trade it should've been obvious that he is getting the biggest contract possible. We are gambling - that's what we have to do since in this day and age superstars only want to play in the big cities.

We gambled on Lin - hoping that Linsanity wasn't just a fluke and he can bring something close to what he did back then every night.

We gambled on Asik - hoping that we can extend his limited minutes and his production grows accordingly, and that he can work a little bit on his offense.

And now we gamble on Harden - that he can be the man on a team, play well in the spotlight and turn into a true star with us.

And when you are ready to gamble two lottery picks and a valuable scorer with a great expiring contract, you better do it right and make sure, that the incoming player won't leave you early.

So great job! I can't wait till I finally see him in rockets red...

Lamarcus Aldridge received a five year $65 million extension, that's terrible contract.

I disagree with this. Morey isn't gambling at all. He has a strategy which is big because you would be surprised how many NBA GM's make decisions with no strategy in mind. He's targeting a group of players that excel at one thing on offense using stats. He's actually money balling this. Morey understands Lin is a beast in the PnR/iso's So is Harden. Asik is the great big man. Needs one more big piece. A dominant PnR big man. McHale loves the PnR. It all makes sense. But it's obvious. Morey is a stats guy. Harden and Lin are two masters of the pick and roll. Team has no PnR bigs. They'll get 1.

    Yes !!
James Harden will be top five scorer in the league this year. Just might take it. I say 25pts/5ast/6rebs/2stl for the season.

None of these guys are worth any of this money! Also, its not your money! Who cares. We got a great basketball player on our team. It will be exciting.

Excellent post! Repped. I'd kill for Pau on our team though he's more of a pick and pop kinda guy right now.

You're a troll. Look at your last three posts. I can tell you flatly that you're wrong. With the sort of statistics they have they can look at those same minutes and cut out the minutes where the other teams starters were on the floor.

So does the fact that Harden is a southpaw allow us to put he and Lin on opposite sides of the court to drive, or does it not matter?
