Aldridge scores 90, Harden's defense sucks

That sounds like the formula in here.

Yet Harden was the only guy of all 8 who played who managed a positive +/- for the game.

He played all but 4 minutes of the entire game.

I am a Rockets fan who lives in Turkey. So I have to set my alarm at like 4:30 AM in the freaking morning to watch Rockets in the playoffs. And then after the game I have to go to work. I feel betrayed man. Is this what I had been waiting for whole season? Damn.

So, it is frustrating. Beyond frustrating.

I and many others here believe you did. This team does not deserve you.

That's one of the biggest problems with our team, Harden being poor is still better than the alternative. The warriors won game 1 without Bogut and with Curry playing like dog****, that could never ever ever happen with this roster.

to be fair, curry wasn't great scoring wise, but the way they were trapping him defensively in game 1 opened up the entire court for the warriors offensively. curry made mostly all the right plays in that game.

maybe Harden should have shoved Blinebury and gotten suspended, and then we would see if we can kickstart the offense without relying too much on him.

his shooting was already off in the last few games of the regular season. perhaps having to carry the load (scoring in the 30s) when Howard and Bev were out sapped his energy. we were at our best in early March, from then on we've been on a decline.

but surely we should be able to make life harder for LMA. it's a simple enough problem to solve. or even if the doubleteams will not work, at least we would know we tried everything.

It's true though what Harden said. Get defensive stops so we can run; that's when we are at our best.

So disheartening when we were shooting so well in the 1st yet couldn't shake off POR

That is the most irrelevant stat of the game. Harden sat out at the start of the 2nd qtr when he was around a +8 (everyone had great +/-) at this stage because of Howard's start and we finished off the 1st Qtr with a run.

The Blazers then made a come back (because of Howard sitting down and Blazers making some adjustments) at the start of the 2nd qtr and then he was pulled back in and never really sat down after that.

Harden played terribly this game, and there is no way getting around that. He played good defense at the start which for him takes a lot of energy (since his not naturally a defensive player). The coach should have made adjustments and realize Harden is just a human being and does get tired.

I partly blame McHale for his bad play today, he looked exhausted and demoralized because thats what you get if you don't give your players a break.

Hell even Lebron today played only 39 min against the Bobcats and that game was also close and he was carrying the Heat team for the whole game.

Like how you like to pile on Lin. It's no fun when it's your fave player is it?

James Harden, is sligtly better to Trevo Ariza. Harden is still far away from McGrrady, both offense side and defense side. his big threes are just killing the team, as he simply can’t pot the balls in.

I never think that Harden is top player.

Good grief. The guy can't even play D. He's a one trick pony that is usually very good at what he does but if he can't do that well, then he's useless...

I don't know if he'll bounce back, but it's certain he'll never be a good leader or man up. This isn't the first time he's displayed cowardly behavior on a bad night (leaving before media shows up, saying "we" need to improve on nights he was the biggest culprit, etc)
