I understand that but his shot selection is awful, he can't drible, doesn't finish well.... its like he's forgotten who he is. It's perplexing
Last time I checked there were other players on Team USA and not all of them 'ran out of gas' by the end of the season.
And how many made it to the conference finals? And even then, how many were literally carrying their team there?
You know players are playing really well they say he's in mid season form? You know why they call it midsesson form? Its because it usually happens in the midseason! Not everyone is like Curry who starts the year on fire most of the time the players starts out fat and out of shape, esp. If he had a horrible training camp. The thing is though there are lots of champs who are like this, for example the Spurs are always like this and then get their act together during their annual rodeo trip. So for Harden its not how he starts its how he finishes, it doesnt matter if hes flat footed now or on fire, the important thing is that when the playoff starts thats when hes in great shape.
I would argue that no one else on that team USA team had to carry the offense as much as Harden did last season plus I didn't think he ran that much out of gas, he played like a mad man for those two games in the WCF
Physically, he looks like he is in great shape. Maybe even better than the end of last season. But he has no endurance or lift on his shots and drives. When he is in tip top shape, he can finish thru and over contract but he is really struggling right now with that.
pretty much, I hate how many useless games I have to watch them play. I literally just want them to play the second half already and the playoffs where it actually matters. Now every game is like please dont get injured please dont get injured, please don't over play our players
You are seriously going to say this to us with a straight face when 2 games seperated the 2nd and 6th seed last season in the West? Every ****ing game is important in the Western Conference. The 0-3 start could be the determination between being a top 4 seed or being a bottom 4 seed or god forbid outside looking in.
Your argument would make sense in MAY. It's November and we are one game out of first in our division lol. Calm down.
Ummm... Do you know basic arithmetic? If two games separated 4 seeds last season, then every game regardless of the time of year is important. Theoretically, every game is equally important. Game 1 is counted the same as game 82 when determining playoff seeding. Or am I missing something.

I kind of agree. If it takes Harden a month or more to get in "game" shape, then we'll end up being a good, but not great, team over that timeframe (having to slug it out at home in overtime versus teams like the Magic) and at the end of the season with the 8th seed, at best.
