James Harden Catch and Shoot Threes (2015-2020)

    why not? He can still shoot mid range and FT line shots. The man avg triple double for 4 straight years so we know he can create and pass. MDA just wanted to use him in the post and slash dribble drive most of the time. But this isn’t the rockets issue. The issue is lack of offense at the 4 and no true big Compound that with no offball movement and screens.

    This can work with offball movement, screens, and flares. Plus personnel change at 4 and 5. Serge ibaka would be a great fit at the 4 for this team.

    Harden is still the primary ball handler. But when he dumps it off he can have movement and off ball screens for him. He doesn’t have to play one on one or in most cases 1-2 all the time. I think Silas understands this. MDA made it difficult to score against zone traps. But again we need better players at 4 a d 5 period. This will break down zone traps. PJ can no longer start. That lineup with him starting isn’t working against these hard traps.
