Yeah I got judgmental looks for trying to buy a bottle of fancy beer for Thanksgiving along with the other groceries on a Sunday. Hopefully that puritanical attitude will fade with time.

Beer wine after 12:00 on Sunday. no hard booze.

Hard Booze has to be sold in separate establishments and they must close at 9:00 pm.

    Nice eh?

Old timers on here will recall that Steve Francis drank himself out of the league, or that Lew Lloyd or Mitch Wiggins had substance problems.....which is why some of us worry about Harden and his seeming propensity to party.

Bingo. First John Lucas. But we weathered that and made it to the finals. Then the next year both shooting guards lost to coke and all we could crap was Cedric Maxwell. That was the end of that possible dynasty.

Oh I agree with most of your points. It's the way you're communicating them that I have a problem with. Spin is bad whether it's for or against. If you're going to use bad games as examples of his bad play, don't get down on others for using good games as examples of his good play.

Addiction is a major problem among pro athletes. Thinking back to Eddie Griffin, gone way too soon because of substance abuse. Don't just roll yo eyes and think that a little partying doesn't matter because you are only 26...

Frankly I think a lot of these athletes drink because they can't smoke a J once in a while to relax. Terrible trade off, but a common one for people who have that kind of restriction.

Not that he should be smoking up as a pro athlete, but I'd rather he does that once in a while than get hammered with alcohol once in a while. Alcohol is much worse for his long term health.
