Too bad the Thunder's military detachment was led by Colonel Klink - Russ behind the line - and Harden's Heros repeatedly clowned them in the playoffs by escaping

To be fair, he was traded from OKC since they are trying to rebuild, not thread water.

A couple points, it isn't unique to James Harden. Players like LBJ and Leonard and George and even Giannis have done similar things. The difference is the MOTIVATION for this article........ the Rockets are softening up the fan base for the inevitable reality that James Harden will be traded and that the Rockets will not be a very good basketball team for awhile.

Also, regarding JVG, while he expects his players to play hard, he also let McGrady and to a lesser extent Francis, get away with a lot of stuff that would surprise fans. So while JVG would be more rigid in his system of doing things, the reality is he would have let Harden get away with a lot.

What is most interesting is that Westbrook really wanted Lue, and Lue is not the type of coach that is known for discipline or reigning in players. In fact he is known as a great floor tactician but he has almost no structure. The truth is, all the claims around Westbrook don't make a lot of sense. It really sounds like Westbrook wanted his own team where he could influence the rules.

    It could be Ferntits leaking.

But, logically why would he put out a piece that would basically kill any value the team could get for Harden?

Former staff could be MDA (Brooklyn) or Morey (76ers) to distress the asset even more to weaken the Rockets position. Distress the asset and make a lowball offer is the way the game is played. I love how folks are behaving like Harden is the only spoiled rotten superstar though. It's pro sports and we're talking about one of the 10 best basketball players in the world.

Damn, Harden really seems to be a shitty human being.
Always saw him as a quite awkward but dedicated person but his behaviour during the last month has been quite embarrassing for himself. I mean, he had to be protected by his mom on Instagram. I mean, I get it now why fans around the league dislike Harden.

Arrogant, immature and selfish. And it's bad to stand out in the NBA in those 3 areas considering how arrogant, immature and selfish NBA players generally are.

I thought about one thing, I might have not been a fan of Westbrook but lets compare WB to Harden. Russ is a family guy who is very dedicated and passionate, all his teammates love him and Harden, well, he is very talented but lazy, selfish and arrogant.

The major missed storyline is this: give James Harden some more credit! This dude is out here living every day like he's MJ off the court. All night benders, jetsetting to Vegas with a few days off...I mean we all knew what a Sunday afternoon Harden game was gonna look like, but now we know know. Someone has gotta write a book with some of his late night tales one day.

And to think, we were only a hamstring away from missing out on all this drama.

Basically a long ass article that explains why:
    - Westbrook is incredibly loved by his former teammates even tho he sucks on the court
    - James will never win a ring, not in houston - not anywhere unless he changes his ways
    - why james can't coexist with other stars such as CP3. Ain't no way CP3 was fine with this bs in his time in houston. Say what you want about CP3 but this guy has a winning mentality

James has never been in trouble for anything. He's a spoiled, rich, entitled A--HOLE. There's plenty of those in the NBA, NFL and MLB.

    True.
But I am starting to see now why so many fans dislike him.
His way of playing basketball seem to be similar to his personality.

And I’m totally fine with that. But be on time, don’t make team wait on you, don’t bail when you’re a part of the reason for failure. Set the standard all the time, not just game time.
And you can absolutely reap the benefits of super stardom.

This is crazy because I'm ready for the Rockets to trade him and just be done with all this drama.

On the other hand I'm terrified of what life after James is going to mean in terms of the competitvenes of this organization for years to come.
