Hell, swap Harden out with CP3 and this team is better than they currently are.

Eh they didn’t have to do it. It was a bad, no, terrible move from Tilman.

Harden preferred it, no one else.

Houston was gonna stand pat through the season until he forced it.

Had they not done it, Harden would have just pulled this same b****assness sooner.....and the same people would be blaming Fertitta for not giving Harden what he wanted.

When you end up with a star player that becomes a cancer, your team is screwed.

    That's the real problem here.

Rather suck as a team then to keep this fat man that's not good enough to win it all with.

    It's Silas, right?

I definitely agree with that. It would be the situation with the Thunder and CP3 last season where the Rockets had more talent but the Thunder had a better functioning team.

No he wouldn't. LBJ would NEVER play for a team without another prime star on it. DWade fell off, LBJ went back to Cleveland with Kyrie. Cleveland's team fell off and LBJ went to LA knowing he had Anthony Davis coming soon. LBJ's short term deals with no-trade clauses are by design. No star would drag these midgets to a title. The roster is just too small.

Tillman flushed Morey because he wanted to spend money, he flushed MDA because he wanted a new deal, Westbrook asked out and now Harden wants out too. Get him gone. Tillman should finish cleaning house and build something new. The Morey/Harden era is done.

Harden could shoot a guy in times square and some of you would still be like "It's TIllman's fault" lol. Im not a big Tillman fan but 80% of this is on James.

which CP3? The one who was out of shape and injury prone while here or the guy who rededicated himself and took pride in his body again in Phoenix?

I dont fault Tilman for not wanting to go into the luxury tax. Unless the team will become *legit* contender, its not the best move to to pay for mediocre role players.

Houston ****ed up when they signed CP3 with a max deal. CP brought a lot to the table and if he could play along with JH, it might have been worth it. Instead, Houston got stuck in their little bubble that James Harden was was a step behind LeBron as the best player and could not understand why the sports media was so critical of James Harden. Thus birthed the conspiracy theories that Silver, refs, and the media were conspiring against Houston.

Only now is Houston finally waking up to realize Harden is closer to Westbrook than he is to LeBron. Fantastic player but no leadership skills whatsoever. A team is not going to win it all with this setup.

Under the Alexander/Brown/Morey leadership, James Harden had his lifestyle team. Bringing 80% to the table was good enough for everyone. If they win a chip, great. If not, run it back. In steps CP3, highly competitive and doesn't give a damn about the lifestyle leadership. He wants to win at all costs, 100% effort.

Then you have Tilman step in and he is not about that lifestyle bullshit either. Unfortunately he hasn't a clue on how to run a team or manage prima donna superstars. This is the culture change that has been frequently talked about. Harden will no longer have carte blanche to do whatever he wants.

So Tilman tries to salvage the situation by trading CP3, an overpaid 44.2M asset who is probably worth closer to 35M, for Westbrook, a 47M highly overrated superstar who is worth closer to 30M. And then he trades that contract for Wall, another 47M contract who is barely a star.

In hindsight, we would have been much better off trade James Harden instead of CP3. The team would have gotten max value out of Harden and the team would have had a true leader in CP3. And after next season, CP3's contract would have been finished. Instead, all this team has is John Wall and whatever worthless crap they get in the Harden trade.

So absolutely, this ownership is as bad as the Knicks. Completely 100% incompetent. And it will never change.

Thinking about it now, Kyrie being his running mate beating that Warriors team just shows the greatness of Lebron. He was Kyrie's dad and was the only time Kyrie wasn't a headcase.

Either really would be better than a Harden actively sabotaging the team

If Lebron was on this team, people would call Wood a star in his prime.

CP3 is not the type of guy who is out of shape because of laziness. He earned that benefit of the doubt.

Exactly. Look at the absolute headcase Kyrie is now without Lebron.

He was loved a lot more when LeBron held him in check. Now he's a pariah.

The best thing about this is that Silas offense is based on movement and they tried to argue that James is trying to fit into the offense.

What a bunch of CLOWNS. Every time they get proven wrong and still act like they know everything

Just want to add this is what is going to be what makes GMs of contending teams really be reluctant to pull the trigger on Harden. They are afraid he's going to **** up their system and they have to build a new offensive identity from scratch which isn't typically what a contending team does in the middle of a season.
