That is why I said someone like..... a version of him who can shoot. He is young enough to improve on that too.

Below average percentages can always be improved upon.

My biggest issue with Ennis is Morey didnt offer him a long term deal. We might be looking at Moute part 2 next year where some team offers him 3.5M and we can't match cuz we capped out.

James Ennis's shot is like female heterosexuality. I'm grateful that it works, but I have no idea how, and I'm in disbelief every time it does.

His shot is nowhere near as unorthodox as Kevin Martin. Weird looking for sure though.

Really excited to see Ennis play now as he is becoming a vital piece to our defense and offense!

However, Suns may offer him $15mn 1 year deal next season if he keeps it up.

I was more excited about Ennis than Melo in the offseason. I was right. :)

I think Stanley would have to be more of a KJ McDaniels sort of situation. Let D’Antoni take a long look to see If he fits our defend and sprint to the corner motif.

Does James Ennis' shooting form remind you of Alex English?

Ariza is a little bit better defensively. However, Ennis is no slouch on D, he plays it well, and so this is pretty insignificant

Ennis is far and away superior to Ariza offensively. His shooting, he is able to slash and finish at the rim consistently ect..

I’d be happy to get him and see what he can be but not at the expense of a starter

Oh? Stanley Johnson's 3pt field goal percentage has dropped every year he has been in the league. .307, .292, .286. Some do improve but Stanley Johnson hasn't been one of them.

Yeah I don’t get this fascination and the idea of trading a productive starter for him is ridiculous

Many talented young players start out without a shot. Many are adapting to the 3pt line.

The thing is if you keep on signing minimum contract players and hope try to snag an Ariza type of talent,

you come up with 29 year olds, 30+ year old players who have reached their potential and will likely grow no further.

I surely dun hope to continue that way, we were getting older before this.

My bad on Stanley, I did not check his shooting stats but he remains to be a growing player.
I am sure there are young players who shoot better than he does.

Right - so that would be like, oh, singing MCW and developing his shot?

How many of those guys can one have on the roster at any given time? Without doubt, if MCW could actually develop a shot, he would be a very good basketball player. I'm not holding my breath waiting for it though...

Ennis has started 71 games in his career, and in those 71 starts has shot 40.6% from three. That's a pretty safe bet for a minimum 3 and D guy. I don't think one can have too many 'project shooters' on the team over guys that have actually produced?

MCW is by no means a young player no more, Sir Nügebauer. He is useless too. It is a moot point really.

I praised Ennis but Morey's way to go for cheap contracts before re-signing good players or getting younger, more talented players is not the way to go.

Mmm, Ariza was never that. Eye test or advanced stats, choose whatever you want.

There will be another cheap James Ennis in the offseason, just like there was a Luc last offseason.

    Very, very replaceable role.
