I don't believe the report on the Toronto radio station. Sounds like BS. There's no way we would do that deal for James.

would that work? because head is already a existing contract and your trading that contract plus a garenteed contract in a first rounder for a nongareenteed contract (a 2nd rounder).

where is the source for this?

btw I am not trying to start a argument here its just i want to understand how this could work.

Not to pick on you cause many posters have said the same but how can we say that the window of opportunity is closing when we haven't even begun to open it. 1st round playoff exits should not be confused with championship contenders. The Rockets are trying to assemble a team that will give us a chance to compete for a championship in the near future. I think James and Battier fit into thier opening the window plan.

No worries. Toronto's not going to get a damn thing. Mike James for the MLE is the deal as it stands. All that BS about Luther Head and a 1st rounder are all fabrications by some bogus Toronto radio station.

that's what it sounds like to me as well. why would we give up luther head and a first rounder for nothing????

but i guess we did trade rudy gay and stromile swift for shane battier and nothing else, so anything is possible. :(

no they cant, as far as i know in the NBA you can only take back 125% of what you traded so this wont work.

so we still have our TE lets see if we can get a trade done since we are out of any free agency money.

V-span will have to wait another year.

Because the Rockets' management walks around bent over clutching their ankles waiting for a West or Colangelo to come strolling along?

Big,, big problem with your logic. Had we not traded him, we could have used his Early Bird rights to re-sign him. And we'd clearly have an MLE and we would not have to dangle Luther Head for a TOR SnT. We screwed it up and are very fortunate there's a "do over".
