That is why I said it is spreading. I did not say it is another report. ;)

Mogrod, thank you, thank you, thank you. Some people are so full of it. Everyone to a person praised the Swift and Anderson signings, as well as the Alston trade. PRACTICALLY EVERYBODY was saying what a steal we made by picking up Eddie Griffin, a highly, highly touted player (some had him going #1). Eddie Griffin and Amare Stoudemire had the same rap- troubled past. How are we supposed to know that one would turn out great and one would be a bust? If anyone said they predicted this, 9 times out of 10 they're a bald-faced liar.

I'm sick and tired of this whining, blame-everybody-else mentality. This team consistently makes moves to put themselves in the championship realm. Sometimes they work out (Thorpe, Horry, Smith), sometimes they come close (Barkley, Willis), sometimes they don't pan out (Francis, Mobley), and for some, the jury's still out (McGrady, Yao). With the exception of the Spurs, and maybe 1-2 others, you show me another team who has mastered the draft AND had their team at a championship level for the past 10 years. Lakers? Yes, pretty close. Mavericks? Nope. Pistons? Not until recently. etc. etc. etc.

Just because Swift and Anderson didn't work out doesn't mean Battier and James won't. Every year is different. Teams have gone from worst to first. The formula for championships is a two-headed monster and "role players who play their role beautifully" (quote from Hakeem's book). We have the formula. Barring injury, we're going to win a championship. Relax.

All that work CD has done and the Rockets can't even get the first round. That's a genius for you.

With MJ's ego, he will make sure he himself will get enough shots. That's the reason a lot people on this board blamed him last time.

Now all of sudden everything is rosy?

This really could be a potentially explosive issue for Rox. Hope I am wrong.

Well, as I said, you go ask the "fans" of the cities I posted before and see if they would rather compete for a postseason spot or be in the playoffs every season, or pick at the top of the lottery year in and year out.

As we know, there is a clear distinction between good and bad in the NBA.

Im glad you're setting a high bar by comparing him to the worst GMs in the league. Yes CD is better than some GMs and he's also worse than many others in the league. He's mediocre.

Mediocre management usually does not translate to championships or consistent playoff appearances.

Rudy T helped the Rockets win back to back titles. And as Rudy failed in his evaulations, so did CD. Worse, CD was responsible for many of the terrible contracts that have resulted in the merry-go-round of mediocre aging role players.

People who are successful compare themselves to the best, not the worst.

He is basically terrible at handling player transaction in general. What else does he need to do as a GM?

Looking among the Southwest division, who else is a worse GM than CD???

I'm glad you cleared that up for Mogrod, because the rockets have been mediocre during his tenure.

Marc Berman from Houston Channel 26 Fox sports says MJ and agent meet with CD and will meet again tomorrow. They will not have a decision till after they have met with Dallas tomorrow and Minnesota Monday.

A moment ago you said CD was the worst GM. Now he's been upgraded to mediocre? flip-flop?
