I told you all that he did NOT create the Terminator series I told you all that Avatar is not HIS creation,he's laughing all the way to the bank with your money BUT what people are really upset about is JAMES CAMERON ripping people off. There are definite visual similarities from 1985 Marvel Comics "Timespirits." James admits he was a huge science fiction book reader in his teens. He copied the 'call me joe' story and added 3d. His story that he "wrote avatar and put it away in a drawer for years" can be true but he got his ideas from 'call me joe'. Thats not really the reason I didnt see Avatar, I'm a big movie buff, I knew about Avatar before many of you that saw it. 2 years ago I was told James Cameron was creating a new 3d lens that would revolutionize the movie industry. I was told he was creating a movie about "aliens" and so I pictured scary,almond eyes,probe up your butt aliens. This was BEFORE the first stills were even out on the internet last year. So, when the first stills came out, I was disappointed. The trailers were even worse than the stills. Come on, if you mate a blue elf from the north pole with a human,and give him a mohawk, you get Navi.
You are like the Ric Flair of posters, you really dont know when to retire. This could have gone into the AVATAR thread, and on the topic of Cameron being a rip off artist... Everyone in Hollywood borrows from other sources, thats LIFE get used to it.
BTW has Cameron ever claimed that he did not borrow from other sources? I'm sure James Cameron is losing sleep over not winning the Oscar or a poster on a Rockets forum refusing to spend 15 bucks to watch his movie.
It goes without saying, you're an idiot. There is so much that goes into bringing a movie into being. He created avatar. That doesn't mean he wrote everything from scratch. If we were talking about a graphic novel that he made, that would be one thing but to compare the scope of a half million dollar movie to some comics...just r****ded.
