Bond is kinda old to me. I'm not feeling it. Jason Bourne and mission Impossible seem to be at the top of their game.

The books, esp. The Bourne Identity were great.Ludlum spun masterful spies and espionage thrillers. The first movie kind of disappointed me though. They left out Carlos the Jackal, and a huge chunk of the story.I did go in expecting alot and after watching it the second time thought it a little better. The second showed a marked improvement. One thing though, while I like Matt Damon,I can't help wondering if he isn't miscast here.

Daniel Craig looks like a freaking chump.... an ugly chump at that. No way he gets the role. And if he does, expect the franchise to take a nose-dive like it did in the mid to late 80's.

Clive Owen would be perfect for the role. I dont know enough about McMahon, but it doesnt seem like he has alot of movie experience. My personal preference was Hugh Jackman.

    Nobody tops Connery....... period.

Clive Owen seems like the right guy for the role. I would have liked to see one more with Pierce Brosnan, though.

lmao, it defeinitely can't be the middle dude. i guess i'll go with owen because he's the only one i've heard of. i do wish brosnan was still bond, goldeneye was awesome and if he had better material i think he'd be the best bond ever.

Have you guys ever heard Clive Owen talk? He sounds like there's cotton in his mouth or something. It'd be like George Lazenby all over again. Hell, he kind of looks like Lazenby too.

Let me see if I can express Owen's inflection and accent.

    American - One last hurdle.
    Brosnan - One last hurtle.
    Owen - One last errtle
    Lazenby - One lahst urrtle

No, Pierce Brosnan is through. No more Brosnan.

I liked him well enough in his first two Bond features ("Goldeneye," despite too many explosions, and "Tomorrow Never Dies") but the latter two ("The World is not Enough," "Halle Berry and The Twins") were pretty close to awful, despite the eye-popping scenery of the last film.

I saw "Beyond the Sunset" or whatever it was called because I knew Salma Hayak would spend most of the film in a bikini; Pierce was just collecting a check in that movie and he's getting a little gray and chunky, so sorry.

Usually, when you ask for a ton of money for a film, and your name isn't Tom Cruise, you know you're gonna be told to take a walk, so that saves Brosnan the trouble of actually saying, I don't want to do this anymore. He's already saying so.

Sean Connery was the best Bond of all time IMO. Whoever is the next Bond will have a difficult job matching him.
