    5/10

Wasn't too impressed by the opening sequence. Just a helicopter doing flips. The action scenes were very disappointing. Bond takes a beating, but somehow wins. I took notes and did calculations, Bond shot at a 98% accuracy, while the bad guys went to the storm troopers academy for sharp shooting.

    - So they gave Bond a sweet Aston Martin and Drax a Jaguar only to use the car chase as a side thing so Bond can have a nice phone conversation with JCPenney to find out who Scarface is. Most boring car chase ever.
    - I felt like the good guys won way too easily and no scene really kept me on the edge of my seat. Maybe the scene where Scarface touched Bond's soul with a needle, but even then, we knew nothing was gonna happen to Bond.
    - The whole "shut MI6 down, get rid of 00 program" felt so overused. They already did that in Mission Impossible and in Skyfall Bond was threatened to be forced into retirement. So when Vitamin C came and wanted to shut down the organization and threaten Bond's career, I was like "this story line again?"
    - How did Bond fall in love with Swann? I thought that was so random. She wasn't even all that hot to be a Bond girl. Bellucci still can put it together though... would smash.

It's as if the creators of this movie had a grand idea to tie all the movies together, but had no idea how so they just winged it.

Casino Royale was so damn good that it kept people excited about the Bond movies by its reputation alone. This one was a huge drop off from Skyfall. Just like Solace was a massive drop from Casino Royale.

Besides all the plot holes and all the other airings of grievances which are true, there was still a chance to salvage the film. They had an opportunity to turn this into Memento x Bond, but chickened out. And Swann was totally shoehorned in (and shoehorned out), but she mastered that sultry bond girl look to a T.

The drilling was graphic but stupid since it didn't do anything. To me, they even teased at Bond losing his memory of Swann. His response was something like "how can I forget that face" and didn't say her name until back in London. As if he really didn't remember her but his 00 training allowed him to fake it. I don't know what would have followed after that, but I was hoping for something darker than what we got or even if he shot Blofeld like originally intended

Probably not as good as Skyfall. Initially thought Casino Royale was great but after watching it plenty of times on TV I'm starting to hate it. Barely no action and the climax of the movie was a poker game? Seriously?

    I'd rank them
    1. Skyfall
2./3. Tie CR/Spectre I assume Spectre will be more entertaining on replays

Haven't seen the movie, but just looking at page size made me think it stunk or wasn't out yet.

Thought this was mediocre and too long. The villain was to amorphous for me. It's like they were fighting a concept rather than actual badasses

The others are still in shock because they loved it so much to write a review.

I feel like they didn't utilize Christopher Waltz's acting abilities to the max. It seemed like he was only in the 2nd half of the movie but for most of that time was a "shadowy" figure.

Give me a movie where its Bond vs Waltz the entire movie and I'm sure it'll be great. Skyfall was 10times better than this snoozefest.

We enjoyed it. Sure, it isn't at the level Skyfall reached, and there were far too many references to people from the past, both good (Dench's M and the French babe from Casino Royale) and bad (too many to count), who were long dead, but it was entertaining. Entertaining at a higher level than any of the Roger Moore and Peirce Brosnan flicks. Craig is simply that good. The script, however, was lousy. What were they thinking?

They regressed back to the end of the Pierce Bronson era.... with less over the top special effects, but more cheese/less grit than the other Craig Bond films.

Is this it for Daniel Craig? If not, they'll need to do some sort of re-boot as interest certainly won't improve with this movie as is... seemed like they phoned in most of it, and went with the safe formulaic choices.

Late to the topic. This seriously felt like they tried to make a serious version of the first Austin Powers. Can we stop having idiot villains that explain their entire diabolical scheme and then come up with more diabolical schemes to kill Bond, only to fail miserably? It's laughable.

Also, why was Bond fleeing in a bullet proof super car from a regular car? It's like watching Fast & Furious but instead with the tank trying to get away from the Mustang.
