I thought skyfall was horrendous. Basically a lot of dialogue then bond gets to play McCauley caulkin in home alone. This one looks like it may be good though.
Monica bellicuci though in shape is 51. I could see the wrinkles on her face as the camera pined in. No thanks. This film was pretty weak compared to the films of the past. Also these films do not have a lot of action in it.
This wasn't that good. We can all basically guess the plots to a 007 film but at least with Skyfall you had Bardem's over the top grade A ham performance, Adele's 'Skyfall' and f-cking the maestro Roger Deakins lensing one of the most gorgeous looking films this century. Specter had nothing. Boring villain, ****ty Sam Smith singing & a pretty plain looking film to look at. ...except for the long opening take. Monica and Naomi Harris can still get it though.
I enjoyed it. Nothing really spectacular about the film, but I found it entertaining enough....and it had a few of those Bond over the top sequences...
It was a decent movie but it built up to essentially nothing. Villain sucked. I think it was better then Solace but I'd have to watch that again.
Sorta disappointing. Not realistic whatsoever. I know its Bond and he is a bad ass, but he would take a beating that would decommission Batman for a few days. Yet Bond would just act like no big deal and kick some more ass and **** some more hotties.
The plot was flimsy at best. There were so many plot holes that I lost track. I understand 007 movies have been traditionally filled with villains being patently stupid, but this is 2015, they can do better. The only cool thing was the long tracking opening sequence. Christoph Waltz should really only do Tarantino movies.
Waltz has been following everyone and especially Bond forever. Yet didn't do body check and remove Bond's watch? ok....
Based on critic reviews as well as the reviews on here, it sounds like it's disappointing at best. I was expecting to be blown away by Waltz's performance, but apparently he was very underwhelming. That sucks. I love Bond movies, and was really looking forward to this. I'll probably still watch it, but my expectations have been drastically tempered.
I was also looking forward to this, but might just wait it out for a streaming option now. I'll re-watch Skyfall to pass the time.
I can't say I disagree with the criticisms, but still thought it was awesome. Just a bond junkie I guess. And theater experience trumps streaming or TV once you accept the sticker shock.
agree with most of the opinions here, it was ok, not great. Waltz was underutilized and the attempt to make him a super villain just didn't come through well. The plot was muddled and the ending was pretty anticlimatic and borderline hokey. Spoiler I liked how they tried to tie back in to the previous movies and the secret organization, but they seemed to gloss over it All that said, it's still fairly entertaining for a bond flick, but it could have been much better.
I liked this one alot more than skyfall but I am a huge Waltz fan so probably a little bias there... Worth seeing in theatres but I wouldn't say it is a great film
It kind of sucks that the Daniel Craig as Bond movies started with such a great bang and then weren't able to sustain that momentum. Casino Royale is by far the best of the lot and had as its main plot line the all knowing and seemingly everywhere organization funding terrorists. Quantum of Solace was pretty much more of how this powerful organization works and destroys all in its path. Personally I like this movie because it did follow the plot, more or less, from Casino Royale. Skyfall, it deviated a lot from the plot line of CR and QOS, but I think it had a couple of things going for it. Mainly Javier Bardem, who played a really good Bond villain. Secondly Judi Dench, who did a good job in the movie, but in the end was happy to see her character go. Spectre IS the worst of the bunch. Waltz spent more time explaining the back story between him and Bond than he did killing and blowing things up. The movie was all over the place and lacked any of the wit of Casino Royale. Very anticlimactic for what I thought was a good story line. What Spectre did have right was their choice of Lea Seydoux as the Bond girl. Eva Green is still the hottest from the four movies, but Lea looked fine as hell and showed off a lot of sexy curves.
6 out of 10 Not a bad movie, not good either, entertaining enogh if you are willing to ignore how cheesy the story and scenes are.
